Morissette's name is pronounced like Alanis Morissette. Her dad is in a rock band and a fan of Alanis, hence Mori's name. She has a lot of great performances on the Wish Bus. She live streams in an app called Kumu where her fans can request songs and she sings them in real time live. All of that can be found in her channel. Since you two are rock fans, you may know Arnel Pineda (the Filipino lead vocalist of Journey). Omg! I almost requested her for you guys to react but since you have been reacting to sb19 and bts and also you tend to lean on rock so I didnt mention her. But she covered Steven Tyler Dream On, Sweet Child Oh Mine and Living on a prayer medley of rock songs on a Mitsubishi Event in Philippines. You will be blown away. She sang Dream on and hit those iconic high notes Bb5 and sustained high A5 notes. She was named after Alanis Morissette, her father is a rocker himself and was the first one to train her. Oh she also covered Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen the best cover Ive heard so far.

I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to Morissette. She is one of the best artists from the Philippines. She is also known as the "Asia's Phoenix" (an alias she earned in 2018). She has been in the music industry for about 13 years now. A product of singing contests in the Philippines, she started competing at the young age of 9. Her complete name is Johanne Morissette Amon-Lamar. Her father named her after two music artists, Johann Sebastian Bach and Alanis Morissette. "J" is correct in pronouncing her name. You can also simply call her "Mori". 🥰 Like many other reactors to Morissette, one of the things they immediately like about her is her voice, she has a beautiful timbre, pleasant to the ears, whether at her lower register or in the upper register when she is belting. She sounds like a Disney princess, as you mentioned. She has many music influences, among them Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande, but also Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Jessie J., Beyonce, and many others. Please continue to discover her and her music, she has a lot of amazing covers, but also she has many beautiful original songs, my most favorite of which is this "Akin Ka Na Lang" which you featured today.
