Thanks for reacting to the LEGENDS, THE ABSOLUTE AND UNDISPUTED GODS OF KPOP! The reason you havent heard of them before is because kpop is very "currently focused"...kpop fans like what is currently the most popular and dont usually care to look back. I've been into the kpop genre since 2000, so the 2nd and 3rd gen were my stomping grounds. TVXQ were insanely big in their generation but wained in their popularity as the years have gone on, as much older groups tend to do. They are still massively successful in Japan - basically them, and BoA, brought kpop to Japan and made it popular. TVXQ are the standard. They set the standard.

I've been TVXQ fan since 2007. Here's some recommendation of their song : - Rebel - something - before u go - love in the ice - bolero - mirotic - rising sun - truth - why did i fall in love with u - begin - wrong number - my destiny - forever love - wasurenaide - taxi - asu wa kuru kara (one piece ost) - share the world (one piece ost) Etc Note : they're so good at singing it live. You guys should check out their live performance ❤

The reason you haven't heard of them, because you take suggestions from Patreon who only follow some groups from the third gen and all of them are from the fourth gen, so you will not hear or know about the groups from the second gen. If you listen to KZbin suggestions, you will know all the groups from all generations, But I'm happy that someone suggested them, and I hope you listen to KZbin's suggestions as well, and I hope to see TVXQ killing voice and Taemin again and his group SHINee. Thanks 🤍

@@DANDJREACT I know that, I don't like Patreon and not all K-pop fans follow Patreon, so I suggested KZbin because all K-pop fans are on KZbin, Of course you guys are free to do because it's your channel, but I answered your question 🤍

The two remaining members Yunho and Changmin were born respectively in 1986 and 1988 so yeah they are approaching their 40s now. Realistically for idols though it's become part of their jobs to always look perfect so that's also a reason why they are on top of their skincare game, that includes working out a ton and keeping on fairly strict diets at least around when they release new music. Yunho does martial arts and filmed fight scenes in a couple of the music videos he released for his solo songs 😊

TVXQ's "Down" is their pre-release track from their 9th full-length Korean album, 20&2 -- 20 years and still 2 members strong -- which is a celebration of their 20th anniversary on Dec. 26, 2023. If you think this MV was good, you should check out their 2023 MAMA performance where they showcased "Down" even before the MV was released. You'll be able to hear Changmin hit those high notes live. They also had an epic collaboration stage with SM's newest boy group RIIZE, where they performed TVXQ's iconic song "Rising Sun." And, if you haven't already, you definitely need to check out their Killing Voice performance. Killing Voice was pretty much made for SM vocalists and Changmin and U-Know are one of the best examples of that. TVXQ truly are all-time legends in the music industry. As an SM Entertainment group, it's no surprise that they are outstanding vocalists. TVXQ was originally supposed to be a purely acapella group, so they all have amazing vocals. They actually have several acapella performances in their early days that really showcase how amazing they were as vocalists. TVXQ is one of the reasons why SM is known as a vocal powerhouse and why the company has come to be known for having some of the best dancers and vocalists in the industry. Here is some background to help you understand the dynamics of TVXQ better. TVXQ (English and Chinese)/DBSK (Korean)/ Tohoshinki (Japanese), which each are the abbreviations/acronyms of the words in each language that translates to mean "Rising Gods of the East," debuted in 2003 (second generation) as a 5 member group. But, in 2010 three of their members left SM Entertainment and the group and formed a new group called JYJ -- the initials of the members: Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong. (Up until recently, JYJ was still a group and they still produced music, but because they left SM Entertainment -- one of the most powerful and influential companies in the industry -- on less than ideal terms, it has made it more difficult for them to promote themselves and their music. So the members of JYJ are more known as actors and producers than they are as singers now.) However, Max/Changmin and U-Know/Yunho continued as TVXQ as a duo. As you can see, even now as a duo they are so talented that they have the vocal range to cover all the parts of a song between the two of them, including rap. Changmin (the youngest member) was 15 and U-Know was 17 years old when they debuted. Therefore, although they are one of the senior Kpop groups, Changmin is currently only 36 and U-Know is 38. TVXQ is SM's most senior group that is still active. As you heard, Changmin is known for his powerful high notes -- even more powerful than Onew or Jonghyun from SHINee or Chen and Baekhyun from EXO, who are also top vocalists in the industry -- he literally has one of the widest note ranges of almost any Kpop artist. In a high note battle he always wins. It wouldn't be a TVXQ/Changmin song if we didn't get to hear at least one unbelievable high note from him. U-Know was/is the main dancer of TVXQ and he is known for his dancing. He is considered one of the top dancers in Kpop, so dance breaks are his thing, which is why his parts are often so dance-centric. The more you get into TVXQ and U-know, you will see that intense, powerful dance moves are what he does. If a normal dancer puts 110% into a dance move, U-know uses 200%. He is also the rapper of the group. He's known for his passion for dancing and singing. ( His off-the-charts passion and intensity is kind of a running joke within the industry. It's one of the things he is most known for.) The funny thing is personality-wise, Changmin and U-Know are complete opposites in almost every way. Changmin is quiet, calm and level headed and prefers to be alone; and U-Know is loud, high energy, intense and prefers to be with a group of people. Tohoshinki (TVXQ) are one of the most famous singers in Japan as well, even among Japanese artists. And like SHINee and BoA, etc., they are so popular in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene. TVXQ has one of the biggest worldwide fan bases and they sell out some of the largest concert venues in the world. They are one of SM Entertainment's top selling groups, easily selling out concert tours around the world. TVXQ's fandom is Cassiopeia and their fan color is pearl red -- which is why one of the primary colors in most of TVXQ's MVs is red -- and when you attend a TVXQ concert you will see an ocean of red. Welcome to the Cassiopeia fandom. (Their fandom is named after the 5-starred constellation, Cassiopeia, because they originally were 5 members who were supposed to be gods who came from the stars.) If you like TVXQ then you are a Cassi. (In Japan their fans are called BigEast because Tohoshinki are Gods of the East and they have one of the largest fandoms.)

TVXQ! are second gen legends. Along with Super Junior, some of the longest-running groups in k-pop out of SM Entertainment. There's only two of the original guys left due to a contract dispute back in 2009. Changmin and Yunho do solo stuff too but come together every so often to remind everyone of why they're still around. Check out "Mirotic" or better yet, check out their Killing Voice. It's a good summary of a very long career and amazing vocals.

I've been a fan of TVXQ since 2008! Thank you for reacting to them. They're legends. Unfortunately, most new K-pop fans have never heard of them. XD "Rebel" was the title track for this comeback (with "Down" being the pre-release). Their biggest hit is "Mirotic" which has been covered by tons of group. Personal favorites of mine are "Spellbound," "Tonight," and "Purple Line." They literally have hundreds of songs in their discography so if you want more TVXQ there is plenty more! Their solo tracks are also top notch!

TVXQ are the gods of kpop honestly. They created history as 5 members so definitely check out their old stuff! They are known for their vocals. The 3 members that left are super active too. Jaejoong and Junsu are still super huge as solo artist too. Jaejoong does rock so definitely recommend his songs Mine, Just Another Girl and Breaking Dawn. Junsu is also amazing with his solo stuff like Flower and Tarantallegra

If ur taking request on yt than I suggest TVXQ songs like Keep ur head down, the chance at love, Rebel, spell bound, something. Some older songs from them Mirotic, Catch Me If U Can, Rising Sun (feat in Fast in the Furious Tokyo Drift movie as well) , stand. By me. They also have their 20 yr anniversary on Killing voice too. Also if u can check out Epik High song One and singer Outsider song Loner fun fact about Outsider is he is known for his speed-rapping and is able to rap at 16 syllables per second, more specifically 16.15 syllables per second on his World Record attempt. The song I chose is his fastest rap song too. It's the song Jin always does when they have to sing karaoke.

If you want to hear more of this, I recommend songs from when they were five members, the five of them made crazy perfect melodies. In fact, their voices sound even more incredible live, you can listen to the live concert of Bolero, Love in the Ice or Forever Love, to start with, they are on a completely different level than current kpop because they were a more acapella group that focused on vocals, especially on ballads with a lot of highs.

Yeah I hear the same thing that I don't look my age. I recently got a new doc and he didn't believe me that I am 38 same age as YunHo the one with the deeper voice. I had to show him my ID and I even been carded at the movie theatre lol. Btw it's our Asian genetics that caused us to age the slowest. I remember reading a study done on Aging vs. ethnicities in NEJM in school. The study concluded that was Asians tend to show signs of skin aging later than Caucasians, usually around 10-20 years later. This is due to a thicker dermis, which contains more collagen and fat cells and protects against photoaging. As well as elasticity consistently declined with age especially in Europeans earlier and faster. Whereas elasticity may increase in age due to Asian skin being more oily but, fatigability increased with age across Asian population.
