Why L.A.? I understand little when it comes to making that particular move.
@Canadiankwan4 жыл бұрын
Is there more of Alana on KZbin?
@davidlang11254 жыл бұрын
@@libertywaiting8981 why LA? Probably because of the extensive presence of the music industry including recording engineers and studios as well as other musicians, artists and producers. Plus the social interactions with others in the business leads to collaboration and other good outcomes due to happenstance. It’s a good thing.

Reina, you're in LA now? If so, i hope you discover McCabe's Guitar shop on Pico in Santa Monica, and The Coffee Gallery Backstage in Pasadena (Altadena, actually). They both have wonderful stages and recognition in the music community. They're present day equivalents of The Troubadour in West Hollywood, where such up and coming singers like Jackson Browne, James Taylor, and Linda Ronstadt cut their teeth...

Love me a good murder ballad. This is a wonderful rendition. It says a lot about our species that "murder ballad" is a thing, an entire genre of folk music. FYI, "The Twa Sisters" is Child ballad #10, and has many variants. My favorite is "Cruel Sister" recorded by Pentangle in 1970.

Reina. Fabulous job, both of you. Alana has a beautiful voice. Look forward to more of her as well. Reina I'm going to be a bit lazy here, and simply copy and paste a comment I left on a recent video of Carson's. I feel as strongly about how it pertains to you as to him. " I think the thing I notice most when I compare your recent performances to your older ones (and same is true of Josh, Reina and Toni) is the confidence that exposure and maturity bring to all of us. More confidence translates musically and vocally into less timidity and less hesitant performances. The confidence to let it loose. That's where the sound comes from. A timid whisper sounds shaky no matter who you are. Have to sing (or even speak) to the folks in the back row, so to speak. Your talent is unmistakable". The experience and exposure is of course true of anyone, but the improvement and maturity doesn't always follow. It certainly does in your case (and Toni's as well). Your guitar skills have made the same kind of gains as well. Keep up the good work. I so look forward to everything we get to see and hear of you. Stay safe and well.
