Two-state solution for Palestine to come through talks not unilateral declarations, says US

The US national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said a two-state solution for Palestine would come through talks and not unilateral recognition, after Ireland, Spain and Norway said they would recognise a Palestinian state. Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Sullivan said: 'We believe the only way we are going to achieve a two-state solution is through direct negotiations'

If Israel was interested in the Palestinians having their own right to self-determination, other states wouldn't have to go down this path. Why doesn't the US stop being hypocrites, talking bout Israel's right to self-determination and listen to the rest of the moral world and do something, anything, that will resolve this situation? Clearly, waiting for Israel to do the right thing is never going to happen.
