I was working on a ship in 2017 or so and just had my 15 hour shift. In the middle of the night, still in overalls and dirt, I went to the skydeck. In the middle of the ocean, no light pollution, velvet star sky... I put my headphones on and blasted this for an hour. I was "riverdancing", smoked cigarettes, drank lemonade, and danced even more... alone... not a singe care in the world. It was a good night. Out of so many nights on board this was the most memorable. And then in june 2022 i saw you guys live in Vienna! Thank you!! It was insane!

In 2016, there are many islands in the waters of Vladivostok, we went there on a boat to go fishing, at night, leaving the tent, it was a clear starry night, and the sea was completely calm, the moon was not visible and the stars were reflected from the completely black sea. There was a feeling that everything was all around endless space for me. I listened to this song. I have never felt anything like this in my life, either before or after.

Seriously, most songs from the album are brilliant. I really enjoyed Cannon in D, Never Back Down, Victory, etc... It is really, REALLY hard to pick a favourite. The lyrics is truly beautiful.. One sees another and falls deeply in love, wants to care for them. But after a period of time, the latter had already moved on without the admirer knowing.. Why can't I embrace the touch that you give? Why can't I find solace in your words? Why can't I deliver you your love or caress your soul? Because my heart is dead. Just like the stars in sky, they are light years apart, the stars that we see might be dead stars for years already. Using the analogy between 2 stars, with different vocals to characterize the difference in their identity. A star falls in love with another at first sight, but little did it knows that it's actually a dead star. Thus, the name, star sky. Good piece of art.

I found myself with a very different interpretation. Two people meet, fall in love, and for a time, all is well... until it isn't. Something happens, and the trust between them dies (but the spark does not). "I cannot find solace in your words", because "I" can't trust them; "I cannot deliver you your heart, or caress your soul", because if "I" can't trust "you", "I" also can't be vulnerable enough to do any caressing or heart-delivering. The singer wants to end the relationship, but lacks the strength to do it herself, so "you"... "Turn that page for me," "Burn that page for me" "Set me free". What I've really gotta give them respect for, though, is that they don't just make this "sad"... the entire time, you can hear the spark in the background, and you can tell the singer still deeply loves whomever she's addressing; she just can't be with them, or at least, she thinks she can't.
