Calisthenics and bodyweight strength training advice for older athletes.
Is it a good idea to train very long L-sits? After some experimenting with this, I think the answer is no. It’s much more like practicing holding your breath than working a strength move, and I think it’s not great for your lower back.

That is a strong L sit and great observation. On my channel Im currently experimenting how far along I can get with doing almost exclusively push-ups. Keep inspiring… thanks 😊

I just found your channel and I already love it! I like your analyze and describe different movement and potential hazards. Thank you! I found your channel because I couldn't wrap my head around the biomechanics of a slow regular grip muscle ups. Great illustrations!

Personally I usually combine L sit sets with bac bridge variations sets, for muscle balance

Shame to hear about the shoulder injury. Just goes to show that a guy's a guy no matter his age. Pushing ever so further even when already out of one's depth. "I'll adapt eventually, it'd suck to go back". A feeling i know too well. Nice to see it doesn't go away with age :D
