Our friends Susie & Dirk just recently lost the lease on a piece of land that they were renting, and where they had their traditional Thai House that they purchased approximately four years ago. Unfortunately, they were not able to find another piece of land so they had to sell their home at a loss. Fortunate for them, they were able to find a new home, not just one but two for the price of one for just $285 a month and not too far from where they had their home before. The homes are situated on a large piece of land with Mountain View’s and just minutes from the sea. Often Gift and I are asked the question “how can I/we find a home for rent in your area?”. The answer is simple, just come to our area, rent a hotel for about a week and start asking the locals if they know of any rentals that are available. More often than not, there will be something available. Link to Timber Hut Cafe maps.app.goo.gl/ABfvSjEBuwBxKAdv5?g_st=il Thank you for watching. Please like, share and subscribe. 🤗 hi there Gift and Joe, lovely vid as usual. Congratulations on reaching 28k subscribers. You guys are by far my favorite KZbinrs in Thailand. It is so wonderful to see how you get around and show what is available in Thailand as far as rentals and properties go. Such useful information. Also the wonderful people that you meet from all corners of the world. Take care and God bless you and your families. Pete from Johannesburg South Africa. 👍🙏

As always a great video Gift and Joe! This is Reuben Fleischman and my, Sonklin are visiting in her hometown of Non Sila near Tha Bo in Nong Khai Province. This past Tuesday we went and visited Tat Phanom and Nakhon Phanom where I was stationed back in 1972-73. And after 50+ years we visited Tat Phanom and wanted to see Chuck and Paige but I believe they’re out of town down South…Take care!

Always loved the look of the Thai traditional houses, only issue with them is that I love my aircon for sleeping and the air would flow right out of those. You would have to do some insulating on the inside

I really like these traditional Thai style homes. A few adjustments to make it a bit more liveable in the way the space is used, but a very good start. The views from the front of the property, with the mountains in the background, is just spectacular.

These are awesome. I think they're great and much more appropriate for the climate than the cookie cutter cloned cinder block boxes in modern Thai estates. . I grew up in the wet tropics - Wide verandahs and big wide door openings, high ceilings and flow through ventilation is where it's at.

I am not a city guy and I don't want to live in a large city. This place looks more like the suburbs that I enjoy here in America. It looks very quiet and peaceful. I booked a ticket to Thailand just a few hours ago and I will be very interested in learning more about the alternatives to living in the big cities.

Love it, love it, love it! Btw where was the “best room he ever stayed in in Thailand”?
@thaigirlgiftforeignerjoe7774 Жыл бұрын
For us it would be the Intercontinental in Hua Hin. Very expensive though.

@@thaigirlgiftforeignerjoe7774 I meant where was Gary staying when he said he had the best night ever in Thailand? sounds like it was around Mueang PKK. In Hua Hin we like to stay at the Centara (old railway hotel) and pretend we are posh.
