The gag after this was that the so-called 'rehabilitation class' being inspected was a front for the cons learning even more ways of criminal activity. I.e. Dave Lodge's character was teaching safe breaking stating his method was infallible. Warren Mitchell then asks him what's he doing 'inside' if it was infallible! Great stuff.
