This was very helpful as I was recreating an existing report that had a single value input field. At first I just copied the DAX that created the table, so I didn't have the Single Value option when formatting my slicer. This video showed how to insert a table as a what if parameter. Thanks!

As the video continues it'll show you that it's a (single value) slicer type, which is normally associated with a numeric range field parameter. I then show the SQLBI article that inspired me, then I open tabular editor to show the settings to change per that video, and the rest of the video is the tutorial on that.
