Hello Todd. I must say, buddy I am independent in this place. I believe the CNA ratio to patient. Here is 30 to one. Hitting a call button is a waste of time. When I wake up in the morning at three or 4 AM I’ll ask them for Water, clean sheets and towels to take a shower. I basically just shut down when I’m not doing occupational or physical therapy. I hope you’re doing well, buddy and having a great day.

I think many of us have the holiday blues. Especially when we’re bed bound or ill. I know I do too. It’s been a rough year for a lot of us. I can’t seem to fight this bad bacterial infection off for nearly a year. I’m running out of options at this point. But man. Just going to bathroom. Shower. Changing your sheets. What a huge improvement! You’re so much stronger than you were 5 weeks ago now! I know your heart issue makes the breathing and leg strength worse but you are still getting stronger every day! I know you’ve gotta be proud of all the little improvements that you’ve been making. Especially with losing weight and getting more protein in. Keep the faith my friend. You’ve got many of us also fighting health battles so you’re not alone in all that. You e got so many people rooting for you and praying for you. So each step you take is one more chance of getting back to a mores sustainable and independent life! You got this! You’ll be seeing dolphins live very soon! I’m hoping for a drive to port a for new years next week to try to soothe my aching soul too! Keep swimming my friend!!! You’re doing awesome!

My last happy Christmas was at 15 when my only family died.. my mother, I pushed through it for the kids until their late teens when they went to their fathers, I haven’t decorated or celebrated on Christmas Day since then and I loath what it has become, I try to stay positive so instead I work.. regardless, try to stay upbeat like you are doing Dennis, try to find the beauty in the most mundane things. Still love the dad jokes And food in hospitals here is horrendous compare to what you get.. keep smiling Dennis, you’re awesome, thank you for bringing light in my life already for so many years, bringing me back to the oceans I loves and miss now living in a landlocked area.

Hello Jamie. Thank you very much friend. I was just with occupational therapy and we walked further than we had before using the walker. Just trying to build up some endurance. Even got to sit outside for a little bit, which was quite nice. I hope you’re doing well, friend.

I’m praying for you friend. I had my gallbladder removed the ferry first day that Covid shut everything down. Fortunately, I recovered fairly quickly. Definitely avoid any fried foods.

Hi! Dennis, Had biopsy on the 23rd and didn't leave the hospital until the 27th as lost air in lung. They put me on a machine to inflate my lung. It was spooky but all is well on that for now. Will find out about the biopsy next week I hope. Glad to see that your doing much better and sitting up. Sounds like the PT there is much better than the last place you were as have been down that road before. Went through a couple of tornado warning this morning which was interesting. With my health being the way it's been haven't gotten any cards out so Happy Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New year. With falling twice and now this will be glad to see next year and hope it's better. Wishing you the same. Take care my friend.

Merry Christmas, Dennis! You look so much better and sounds like you have made great strides in your PT ( pun intended)! Im sorry they sent you to the Southside....but there are some cool missions around there when you are up to a field trip. I think your insurance will pay for Wagovy ...it will help with pre diabetes, diabetes and weight loss ...you should qualify.... you would lose alit of weight and you wont be hungry.

Howdy howdy! So good to see you up and with your teeth 🦷 very nice! This time of year is hard for so many. You’re at least getting good therapy there, despite some of the other downfalls. It doesn’t seem any facility excels at more than one or two things and that’s a real shame. Your therapy is super important, though. Keep up the great work and better days ahead in 2025! ❤
