Two weeks prior she arrived by a wheel chair. Today she walked out of her rehab hospital.

Look who got discharged from rehab!
Two weeks ago, Amanda Melby arrived Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital via wheelchair. Today she walked out.
Seen with her is her doctor, Dr. Lee, who lead an incredible team of kind, caring, and dedicated professionals who worked tirelessly to help her retrain her brain & begin to reclaim her independence (both her, & I, were pretty stoked when she got the ok to go to the bathroom without supervision).
This concluded nearly an entire month of hospital stays.
She gets to enjoy a couple weeks at home before moving onto the next phase of her treatment.
She has not complained once (well, she did make a comment about me scraping my bowl 🤦‍♂️🙄)nor has she had one negative word to say.
It is unmeasureable how much your continued love & support has impacted us. It carries us daily and we are so grateful for each of you who have joined us on this journey.

May 19th 2024 our lives changed drastically when Amanda was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma tumor. This is among the most aggressive cancers with an average life expectancy of 16 months.
We accept the diagnosis, but we do not accept the prognosis.
There are outliers in world - people who are living years and in some cases, decades, with this disease.
We are determined to make Amanda one of those.
We are sharing our journey in hopes that it can help others with theirs.
