Thank you for that one. Probably the best piece of advice I have ever received as a developer.

Thanks for this video! I hear "which" and "how" questions all the time and honestly it is a bit annoying. I am going to point people to this video.

Hey Povilas, I’m working on a Laravel project and I got into confusion right now for managing roles and permissions, should I go with Sanctum abilities or the Spatie package? What’s your approach when deciding between the two for a project that might scale in the future?
@LaravelDaily2 күн бұрын
It's a personal preference. From what I've seen, most people prefer Spatie package.

I am doing job interviews but no luck I don't know why I served my country 1 year after graduation and now I kinda feel disappointed after rejections , I was asked about laravel security and in my projects I didn't focus on security so I don't know how do I gain this experience without starting working in a company!

That's a common scenario, and that's why many employers want "2 years of experience", because working in a company is the ONLY real way to get REAL-LIFE experience with REAL projects. So, for your first job, some company should BELIEVE in you and invest almost "blindly", for you to get experience and for them to get value after X months of you working. Another alternative way is to create your own projects - open-source or SaaS as a business - and then you will face challenges similar to real-life scenarios. Many developers get jobs after working on their own projects for many months, and then some company see that project which becomes kind of a CV for that developer.

My first Laravel Projects was used to calculate and save GPA/CGPA for all Students in Nigeria Instituons easily and trust me, this Projects I built it with Laravel LiveWire (My First Laravel Project) and after some headache, am able to complete and deploy it, I have over 500 Users but I didn't have money to rehost so I had to let it go but am still with the projects till now and it even land me my first Laravel Job

Yes, exactly what I meant: projects that land your first job.

Povilas first of all thank you for your videos. Is it normal to have a look at the other's design patterns then use that in your project.
@LaravelDaily5 күн бұрын
Of course it's normal :) As long as you understand how those patterns actually work.
@fuskydon4 күн бұрын
@@UsmanAnwarLHRPK I do that very well. Currently, I use both Service and Pattern Repository for my Laravel Projects
