Writing killed the show, not Ashton. It was declining before Charlie’s meltdown. Plus, Ashton was as ill of a fit for Two and a Half Men as Charlie was for Spin City. They were brought on for the same reasons and faced the same issues. Two and a Half Men was for Charlie, not Ashton, and Spin City was for Michael, not Charlie. Goes to show that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

@hib6076 No, Kelso was the problem. Ashton pretty much has one character. Almost everything he has acted in has been a version of Kelso to some degree or another. Basically, it's been the same thing for decades. And simply put, Kelso was not a good match for this show. Of course the writing declined, considering the actor they had to start writing for.
