Jon Cryer didn't know his own worth so why would they give him more money? He topped out at 700K meanwhile Kutcher got 750K, which is a slap in his face. Cryer was seemingly grateful to even have a job. Charlie started at 850K and he said add a million to that for season 7 on. He's the highest paid actor for a comedy show EVER. 1.85M per episode ❤

And Chuck Lorre started it. Charlie isn't the first star of a show Lorre created. Look up Brett Butler. Two main actors, her son and best friend both quit and the show kept going until Butler's addiction ran off the rails. When Charlie was in rehab Lorre did one of his vanity card at the end of a show that said he would be pissed if Charlie out lived him, and he's like 10 to 15 years older than Charlie.
