Excellent! I'm an amateur woodworker and when I saw you do your doors I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I built cabinet doors recently the exact same way. I was totally winging it and they came out great!

That is awesome!

You need to put some affiliate links for the hinges and other hardware/tools. in the description. Really like the build and think I'm going to do something similar. I'd like to use them to give you a kickback.

Were those doors poplar or pine? Have any issues due to seasonal movement? I know you nailed a plywood panel into a rabbet but I wonder if there could still be issues with that construction method. I'm planning a built in project and looking at videos for ideas, etc.

Great question. So far so good. Poplar, which is used often in cabinets. Easy to paint. I have not dealt with any movement yet, 2 years strong. If you are worried, a floating panel would be the way to go.

Looks great. What type of wood did you use throughout the project? I am looking at building something very similar but researching wood to use can drive you nuts, everyone has a different opinion.

all that work and you didn't fill in the pocket holes in the doors? probably totally fed up with working on it by then... I'm the same way!

Any reason you didn't use the router table for the panel rabbet?
@TwoDogGarageWoodworks6 жыл бұрын
Not really. Could be done either way!

Wasn’t all that priming fun?! I just did our walk in closet and had to do all that priming then paint it all. I’d have to say that was the most dreaded part of it all. Great job! I’m about to do the same thing in our living room.👍

Nice dogs Did you really need shelves that look to be 1.5”.? Must be very heavy Looks great
@TwoDogGarageWoodworks6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The shelves are 3 feet wide so I didn't want any bowing under the heavy books. And yes its very heavy!
