For me, Kyung has always demonstrated passion, energy, dedication, and musicianship. I have said it before, but I cannot say otherwise. She always rewards my time watching and listening with a gripping musical experience. Over the years from Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Schumann, Brahms, Beethoven, and more concertos to the great recital collaborations of Kenin Kenner and her. I am deeply grateful for being so enriched. Bravo! Bravo! Thank you for the moving Franck Sonata video.

Chung becomes at 70. Her rendition is brilliant more mature and still passionate amd gorgeous. Chung's incredible musical enthusicastic energy flows during the performance. It impresses me deeply.

The bouquets here for this performance astound me. She has a scant regard for Franck's directions in this piece and over indulges to the point of unnacceptability.

Very interesting to compare this video to Janine Jansen's. Chung's opening is much more angular (and somewhat faster), and her crescendo more muscular. Jansen's playing is a little more searching and sensitive, with richer vibrato. Not sure which I like better -- leaning toward Jansen based on the first movement -- but I'm so grateful to be able to hear both of these women -- among many others! PS: 0:53?
