I'm sorry to tell you, but the best gay beach in the US is not in San Diego, but in Sunny Miami Beach (Haulover beach), Florida. I've been to both, and I testify to that.

Haulover was actually my (Trai) first gay nude beach as a teenager! I’ve been many times over the years. It’s not much different than the rest of the South Florida coastline other than there’s a posted nudist section. On the contrary, the iconic cliffs, stunning natural beauty and massive groups of gays who descend on Black’s on the weekends make it the best gay nude beach in the U.S. in our opinion. The reason why I believe that Haulover beach is better than Black's beach, is because the water in Haulover is a lot warmer, the color of the ocean is bluer, the sand is whiter, the people are much better looking, younger and in better shape than those in San Diego.

These 10 beaches are where we had the best experiences. And we don't have anything against Haulover, we simply have a video about the best gay nude beaches in the WORLD, not the USA, so 2/10 (our favorites on the east and west coasts) edged out Haulover. If we make a best gay nude beaches in the USA, Haulover will surely be on it. And as mentioned, Haulover is on our honorable mentions list on the blog. In the Algarve there are some great nudist beaches: Barril, Praia Grande. Near Lisbon you have Nato or 19. I think the authors ignore Portugal on purpose or ignorance (no we are not part of Spain). Based on what I saw many of our beaches are much better than the majority of the beaches mentioned on the film.

@nunas64 we have been to Portugal many times from north to south. We also love the beaches in Algarve. The best ones are not nudist in our opinion and this is a video on best nudist beaches. We do love the small nudist cove near Lagos and have yet to visit the large nude beach near Lisbon. Looking forward to checking out that one and the ones you mention that we haven’t been to! Maspalomas de Gran Canaria is like a part of the Sahara in the middle of the atlantic ocean with amazing year round weather. Stunning sunrises and a lighthouse. Very popular with Germans but all are welcome.

Great Video. Rooster Rock aka C-ck Rock outside of Portland, OR in the Columbia River Gorge, is a vast legal clothing optional area with a sand spit (drag shows in summer), lagoon, gay, straight and mixed areas. Access is via a 25 minute level walk. Lots of vegetation and trails throughout.

I know many of the beaches listed here and on some of them there are sometimes 3 or 4 people, that's it. In addition, some are not safe or the water is so cold that you can't swim. I'm surprised that probably the most crowded and safest gay nude beach there is (the one in Maspalomas, Spain) isn't listed here. And to be honest: your No. 1 in Sitges is not a beach at all, but a pile of pebbles in a small bay rather far away from overcrowded Sitges. 😁

These are some of the most popular gay beaches in the world! Some are super busy and some are small and remote but in stunning locations. For us, we much prefer Sitges to Gran Canaria and had to pick just 10. We realize many gay travelers prefer differently. Budgets also play a factor. Spain has so much to offer the gay nudist from hotels in Torremolinos like Ritual to gay nude beaches everywhere including the canaries and balaerics. All are amazing. For me, my favorite is Little Beach on Maui. Probably because I've spent so much time there and it's the social spot for gays on the island. Oddly enough I've also met a lot of celebrities there. The nearby Four Seasons and Grand Wailea resorts recommend it to high profile guests who want a secluded beach where others will be respectful and not take photos (and no paparazzi). It's not totally gay but the str8's there have always been very friendly and accepting of the gays. 🌴🌊🌞

I TOTALLY agree with niceboyriga. While I have been going to Sitges yearly for 32 years, I also go to Maspalomas in Gran Canaria and Es Cavallet in Ibiza. Each has it's own attraction. Sitges is amazingly upscale but becoming more expensive each year. While the beach and the dunes in Maspalomas are incredible because they sit smack dab in the middle of a nature preserve, the town is somewhat tired, but deliciously inexpensive, with great value for your euros. Alas I have not been to Es Calallet in about 8 years only for logistical reasons, but it was without a doubt the jewel of all gay beaches.

I would have to say Wreck Beach in Vancouver, Canada is amazing. The hike up the stairs and down is amazing in the Great Bear Rainforest is amazing. It is not wet and raining in July and August in British Columbia. Wreck Beach is across the street from the University of British Columbia on Marine Drive, so lots of University students go there. The Gay section is secluded and amazing!

I get it, you love New York. It’s the center of the world! Having lived there myself for 7 years and even participating in a summer share on Fire Island, not once did I see anyone at the beach naked. Maybe the meat rack! At the beach and pool parties, everyone had on a speedo, so I’m not sure why FIP would make a best nude beach video!? As we say, these are “our” top 10 best nude beaches! Thank you so much for this. I have to say that I have a soft spot for Gunnison Beach on the New Jersey shore. It was my first nude beach and it made me an instant nudist. Completely legal and a relaxing ferry ride from NYC if you're in the city, it's just wonderful. It also gets really busy as the summer goes on. It holds a special place in my heart. Your videos on Zipotle has me planning a trip for next year. Thanks for the recommendations. Wonderful video and list, Gentlemen! I am partial to Hanlan's Point on Toronto Islands, in part because that's the only one on your list I have visited... But I love everything about Toronto, and it seems not everyone knows about Toronto Islands, which feature a theme park, biking trails, beautiful inland waterways, and awesome views of the city skyline. I love you two, but Boy Beach was the most miserable hike Ive ever done, and I’ve had to hike a rocky mountain in one shoe. I will never forget how coarse and unforgiving that Massachusetts sand was, or how difficult it was wading through the swampy water to get there. The beach itself is nice, because gay, but it definitely isn’t for the faint of heart. (We also got lost from the road getting there, because we’re stupid and let the nelly bottom of the group lead the way)

It was just a dirt track that was later turned into a paved road. Then music was added and the beautiful beach became a disco. There was cruising in the rocks

Mykonos, and most of the Greek islands are very beautiful. But Elia beach is very exposed, and recently there are many from the new EU Accession countries/Balkans along the route to the cove that hassle you. You must be careful. And don't forget the beach umbrella! Although naturist options are more limited, I prefer the south of Crete. A very special place on the French Reviera is the Isle du Levant. This must be one of the oldest naturaist places in the world. It has a rustique charm and a fantastic and affordable local fish restaurant. It is one of the few unspoilt, overly-exploited areas in this part of the Mediterranean.

Completely safe. 100%. That area seems to be in an upscale neighborhood. We have heard this for city hikes like Lions Head Summit maybe at early morning or night, but again no safety concerns in the middle of the day for us for either! And Haulover has some good talent, right!? 🙌😈🌈🙏

Number One - Playa del Muerto Beach, Sitges? (also known as Dead Man's Beach) That is such a surprising winner. Everytime I've been the cafe has been closed and I've had to walk up steep hills and cross a live railway track, only to find it almost deserted when I got there. Balmins Beach is a much better option IMO.

Both are great and we find people love one or the other in Sitges! Amazing to have two options. And we’ve always found Playa del Muerto packed and the cafe open every day on our extended stays the past few summers! 🤷‍♂️ We also like the little cafe bar at Balmins tho and easier access for sure! in Playa de el muerto you are truly free, I saw many times guys having sex directly on the beach, no heteros and no kids..there is also the biggest cruising area I had ever seen, summer is full, people install and enjoy the beach and later they go for a tour in the woods. In August during the circuit parties in Barcelona, Sitges is crazy!! The Beach in Barcelona is also amazing full of handsome muscle guys, but so arrogant..Sitges is less posing and more action, if you know what I mean.... I love Mexican gay beaches, but Sitges playa de los muertos is my favorite by far

I've been to both Balmins and Playa del Muerto in Sitges. Both are great. Balmins is a mixed crowd with straight people and some children. Playa del Muerto is definitely gay only because of its remoteness. However, as you mentioned in the video, the hike there is fantastic. When I lived in San Diego, I did go to Black's Beach, but it was not easy to get to if you don't have a car.

So many nude beaches to list! Been to a few on the list. In Canada, Vancouver's Wreck Beach is North America's largest nude beach. For a comparison Black's Beach nude section is 1.8 K long, Wreck Beach is 6.7 K. Do some research before you go. Gays usually congregate at the section called Oasis Beach, not great for swimming, but lots of fun. The main beach at Trail 6 has a massive expanse of sand, especially when the tide is out, and has vendors of drinks and food, plus washroom facilities. Many do a nude walk/hike along the who 6.7 K. Not many places where you can hike nude that long within a city. Summer of course is best...it is Canada after all!

@@TwoGayExpats Glad you're coming to Vancouver. My only other tips for Wreck Beach are that you use Trail 6 to get to the beach. Once at the bottom, on your left is a marked trail that will take you to Oasis Beach in about 15 minutes. Oasis Beach is marked on Google Maps.Usually no vendors at Oasis. Great for sunbathing and meeting other guys, busiest after 1pm and of course weekends. Trail 7 used to be the way to get to Oasis, so some may suggest that, except a storm a couple of years ago washed out most of the trail from 7 to Oasis. It's doable, but not as easy as coming the other way.

Obelisk is easy to access by public transport with a regular bus service throughout the day, seven days a week but, the best gay nude beach in Australia has to be Birdie Beach on the Central Coast, about 45 minutes drive north of Sydney. A huge beach with a fresh water lagoon and bushy sandhills behind it, it stretches for a long way along the Pacific coast. Unfortunately, it is not accessible by public transport and is a long drive into a national park. My advice: hook up with an Aussie with a car.

I really love Playalinda on the North End of Cape Canaveral. If you drive all the way to the end, parking lot 13, from there on it’s a nude beach and the North End of it is all gay. Its easy to access, and rarely busy unlike most of the beaches in Florida because this is a mostly locals beach that tourists don’t know about. At Coco Beach you can barely lay out a towel without having someone on top of you but the most crowded I’ve ever seen Playalinda had people about every 30 feet or so. Its also a Turtle Nesting Sanctuary so at certain times of the year parts of the sand are covered and barricaded off where SeaTurtles have buried their eggs. Its also a great spot to go to watch rockets take off. If you like colder weather, Lake Michigan has a great nude beach in Saugatuck and a gay campground too. While the nude beach is open to all, it’s mostly gay men that you will see there.

Wreck beach in Vancouver Canada is great. At the main beach there a gay section. If you take the trail, you’ll arrive at the main exclusive gay beach. There are few more secluded spots in this area.

And only 1/10 beaches is in New England with only 2 on the list in the U.S. 🤷‍♂️ As far as Spain, we have the two best listed in our opinion although many argue for Maspalomas in Gran Canaria. I don’t think anyone says Ibiza as #1 in Spain for gay nude beaches. There also aren’t any gay nude beaches in Thailand, so not sure why you mention? Where have you been there? While Thailand has some of the best beaches in the world (Maya bay for example), none are nudist. You overlook the isle of Lorum. It’s an island that is about 10 minutes off of Dubronik with fairies going back-and-forth all day. It’s totally gay for everybody and the gay beach is at the Fahr in pass all of the families and totally open people from all over the world just hanging out together literally. Gays gather at the far end and go to the forest up above before playtime, I guess :-)

A very short ferry ride (a few hundred yards) from Bournemouth/Poole, England, is a nude gay beach that should win something if only for its name: Studland Beach or The Studlands. Just a few feet off the water, the land rises a few feet, but is still sand. Guys (easily) dig out large holes to sunbathe in and other activities. A friend of ours who lived in Bournemouth would go there in the winter to lie in one of those large holes to read and catch some rays. There was never anyone else around. So he says. BTW, this area has probably the best weather in the UK, and the winters there are particularly sunny. Go figure.

We’re surprised! We find hotels regularly for under $80 USD per night in the center of town and the main grocery store by the train station has beers for cents. Draft beer at the bars is also very cheap. Especially at happy hour. There’s also tapas places for delicious and inexpensive food! Sunscreen is only $2 versus nearly $10 in Mexico. So even coming from Mexico, we find Spain a bargain! Of course, we don’t know where home is for you, so if it’s lower cost of living, then we understand.

I can't believe you didn't mention or visit Wreck Beach in Vancouver, BC Canada, its huge! n has a separate gay area if interested.. although it is certainly a big trek down the cliff via mostly maintained wooden stairs but the trek up after a long sunny day can be daunting but well worth it.. when I lived in Vancouver, 16 years, I never owned a bathing suit LOL.. on the straight beach, also mixed with gays.. you can get anything from handmade sandwiches, mixed cocktails, beer, pizza gets delivered and many party favors all delivered to your towel lol.. and on the gay beach/area always lots of action of men of all ages, I always went home satisfied..

In the 90s, Cupecoy beach in St. Martin was amazing. Based on the Caribbean Life show on HGTV, Cupecoy beach has been developed and the nude beach probably is no more.

There is another beach in New Jersey I went to with a group I had the best of time just for one day. it is called Gunnison Beach NJ To me it is the most friendliest beach. Il Settimo Cielo in Lido di Ostia, Rome, Italy ( yes, Rome has beaches), Abrico and Praia Reserva - Rio de Janeiro. Prefer local gay beaches, close to big working cities, where local gays go at the end of long working day. Not tourists gay beaches. The crowd is just different. Tourist gay beaches are all slutty gay jet set, usually older with money often couples. Whereas working local big city gay beaches are often younger (so no money to travel) and also more bi/ married types that can’t travel to gay hotspots.

I am kind of saddened to see how completely commercialized Zipolite has become, even down to chairs and umbrellas on Playa del Amor. Thirty years ago I spent months at at time there for several years in a row and it was so simple and so laid back. A few palapas open in the evening and no big buildings. The ocean is incredibly dangerous though. Every time I was there it seemed someone drowned. As to retiring there guys, the hurricanes are beyond description powerful. I had a house on top of the cliff and a bad one ripped off the roof and gutted the interior. I gave the shell and the land to a local guy who I was friends with. But the people are nice, though I think you'll feel that even more if you can speak Spanish.

Thanks for sharing! It’s changed a lot since we’ve been coming just a few years ago. Many things were destroyed by the last hurricane and were built back fancier for sure. Zipolite is growing and gentrifying like everywhere it seems. It’s hard for a place with such magic to stay unknown for long. Have you found anything similar? Where do you like to spend time now?

@@TwoGayExpats I'm retired and I live on Prince Edward Island (in Canada). It's still very quiet and rural and I came here for that and the beaches. The 'unofficial' nude beach is Tracadie Beach - just about the biggest one in Atlantic Canada - and it's on the north shore. You drive down a sandy road, park, climb the dunes and there it is. Miles of sand dunes off to the horizon on one side and the sea on the other. It's not busy until the tourist season and even then it's not a crowd scene at all. Some days you can be just about the only person there. I've camped there on moonless nights a few times just to see the Milky Way blazing across the sky. Unforgettable.

@@TwoGayExpats I realize I made a mistake! The beach is Blooming Point beach - it is off to one side of Tracadie Bay, so to speak. PS if you guys ever plan to come visit this incredible nude beach my best friend has an incredible AirB&B right on Tracadie Bay, it's called the Fishmonger's Dream. Dumb name but at least I persuaded him to not call it The Octopus' Garden, which he was dead set on.
