Very nice car. I wanted one age 10 in 1976, but bever saw any in England. A legendary car which looks rather uninspiring in standard steet fare. This really makes it look great. I am currently restoring a 1968 Lotus 7 to resemble KAR120C in the Prisoner.

Yeah, here in Australia there were people painting the old two door Valiants and Holdens, to look what they thought was like the Starsky and Hutch Torino. Pretty funny looking back at that time, I was only about 10 years old. Cheers mate.

I remember that there was an episode where Starsky took Hutch to the guy who painted the Striped Tomato to get him a flashy car. Respect to Paul Michael Glaser for acting in love with the Torino that he personally didn't like. This is such a great channel and the Crime Fighting Garage is a great theme and a good cause.😊 Subscribed immediately.

The ford gran Torino in starsky and hutch had silver filler panels between the front and rear bumpers not painted red I believe they never had painted red filler panels on the Torino only in silver

The Gran Torino in the first season of Starsky and Hutch had body colored mirrors and filler panels between the front and rear bumpers. In seasons 2-4 it was chrome mirrors and silver filler panels.

A couple of notes for all the Starsky Torino fans. The original car used in the pilot was a 1974 Gran Torino there were two different models used the first one had a bench cloth seat with cone shaped side mirrors and the other one had bucket seats with chrome side mirrors. After the first season Ford dealers were getting calls asking where can they get a Starsky and Hutch Car at? That prompted Ford to make a special run of just over 1000 units for 1976 if you are lucky you own one of the very rare ones with white interior. I think they made just two or three like that.

you're 100% clueless and wrong pilot cars were 2 1975s loaned by Ford rest of the show they used 74s 75s 76s.. and it was 1305 factory cars made In 76 1000 for the US one used in the show the rest went to Canada
