Now that is a feature, auto builders could make a lot of money off of - an automatic ice cream detector ! I would buy one ! It sure looked rough before you did that wonderful restoration on it. It looks new now ! What a beautiful truck. I'm glad it stayed in the family and you did such a great restoration.

My father had an F1. He bought it from the phone company. He had until 1962 and he traded it in during the Cuban missile crisis he was afraid that if we went to war he wouldn't be able to get another truck. I see one that is near where I live. It is abandoned in the driveway. I'm tempted to go look at it. But I know I'll never be able to restore it. This is a wonderful thing you did with your grandchildren.

Beautiful truck, I really enjoyed your video. I'm currently working on my 1951 F1. You seem like a stickler for detail so I hope this doesn't offend - your stainless Ford emblems are on the wrong sides of your hood (the passenger side should be shaped like Tennessee). It's pretty common to see this at car shows but to correct it just switch the sides they're on. Of course if you have them that way that's okay too! Keep on truckin'!
