Dr. Einat Wilf has never been one to shy away from challenging the status quo. Born into a Labor Zionist family, she grew up believing in the dream of peace through compromise and coexistence. But her time working in foreign policy, education, and politics led her to some tough realizations. Over the years, she’s become one of the loudest voices pushing back on what she sees as dangerous illusions-both in Israel and abroad-about the nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Through her books, like The War of Return, and her public speaking, Dr. Wilf has become a champion of pragmatic Zionism, unapologetically advocating for Israel’s right to exist and thrive in the face of ongoing rejection.
While Einat Wilf shifted gradually away from the Israeli left toward, on October 7th countless Israelis made a similar shift, only drastically. The brutal Palestinian attack not only took thousands of innocent lives but also shattered the belief for many that peace is just a matter of compromise. People who once held onto the hope of coexistence are now questioning everything. This shift, echoing the journey of Dr. Wilf, grapples with hard truths about the conflict and what it will take to secure Israel’s future.
Today, we’re sitting down with Dr. Einat Wilf to talk about her journey, how October 7th has changed the conversation in Israel, and what she thinks lies ahead for Zionism, the conflict, and the Jewish people. Dr. Wilf is a former member of the Israeli Parliament, a prolific author, and one of the sharpest minds on these issues. We’re thrilled to be joined today by Dr. Einat Wilf on the Two Nice Jewish Boys Podcast with Eytan Weinstein and Naor Meningher.

The gentlemen were right to challenge Einat. She basically says, Oslo and post-Oslo was a mistake, which is true, and let’s go back to pre-Oslo. But what had let to Oslo? Yes, the pre-Oslo naivety, when the Israelis thought that their enemies will give up over time. They haven’t . What is your next move, Einat? We say, our next move - they move out.

Right ? I'm wondering if I may be misunderstanding somehow. She's right in the fact that the appeasement must stop, it doesn't matter what lies the world is told, or even what lies the world believes.. They must do for themselves and not worry about being nice anymore. However, she seems under the impression that because some buildings are rubble, after 1400 years... The people in Gaza are just going to completely say oh well I guess we've wasted all our time thinking this way for so long. That's never going to happen. It's absolutely never going to happen. She's wrong in thinking that what these people believe, is an ideology. It is more than an ideology, it is their very existence, it is who and what they are. It's very obvious that the Arab Nations want nothing to do with the people in Gaza. They don't want to help them, they don't want to house them... They don't like them They don't want anything to do with it. However, when President Trump says the people of Gaza will be relocated to rebuild.. Even the most moderate leader of Saudi Arabia.. puts out a statement saying that there will be absolutely no normalization until and unless Palestine has their own nation state in the capital is Eastern Jerusalem! Even though they hate each other, they will come together against any enemy who wishes to "take" land from or prevent Muslims from returning to land that was once in their control. The goal is worldwide Sharia law. Worldwide Muslim control.. And it does not matter how much they hate each other, they will work together to save one little patch of land. You cannot rationalize with people who are not rational. She can demand all she wants, it's not going to change a thing.

As a zionist christian who studied the conflict for years and years, this was a very enlightening conversation. I have been baffled very often by how the people of Israel have been naive and altruistic to their own detriment. You cannot negotiate with people whose only wish is to end the nation of Israel. Were the German people inherently Ns? Where the Japanese inherently militarists? Were the Italian people inherently fascists? Huge portions of those societies embraced those ideologies. These facts have nothing to do with a political stance.

1. In Dr. Wilf's discussion on the lack of an Israeli organizing vision, she sounds like Moshe Feiglin. It would be incredible to see them debate one another. 2. IMO Dr. Wilf is also somewhat limited in her vision. Why is it that Palestinianism rejects a Jewish state? Because Palestinianism is a natural outgrowth of the Arab/Islamist supremacy and antisemitism prevalent in Arab and Muslim societies, for whom the only place for Jews is all the way at the bottom. Thus for me, the end of Palestinianism is when a significant number of openly Jewish Jews (not tokens like Amira Hass) can live in Ramallah and Gaza with the same safety and security as Arabs do in Tel Aviv. Jewish towns and villages in Judea and Samaria aren't a problem for such a Palestinian society, because Jews have the right to live and buy property wherever they please, and are entitled to the same benefits from the Palestinian political entity as an Arab municipality. Dr. Wilf's vision doesn't inoculate Palestinian society from reviving the old narrative somewhere along the line, at which point Israel will be in serious trouble.

32:55 she is missing a point here that the interviewer alludes to in his follow up question, many times in politics it is the FACTS that are disputed which leads to utilising certain means to achieving the aims. Besides MAYBE some extreme right wing politicians in israel it's a consensus amongst israelis that if peace CAN BE achieved that they would prefer that over continued conflict over land sincelife is more precious than land, holy as it may be. And it is those facts that the left got wrong and were therfore pushing towards peace. And as for her doubt at 35:50 in the video, this comes from 2 reasons the first one is that contrary to the PA the h@mas are not playing any political games in their "wording" even towards foreigners which means that it is easier to expose the p@lestinitan ethos to the world through them (since they dominate over the PA in p@lestinitan political polls and won the last democratic elections) and show there is no partner for peace to speak of, secound is that, many on the right wing in israel contrary to mrs Wilf in another fact that she still doesn't hold that is that this land IS too small to divide and be able to SECURELY live in peace in 2 states in the theoretic proposed boarders which Abba Eban called the "Auschwitz boarders"(at that time the left understood that too). Plus her assumption the p@lastinians would continue to be honest about their intentions (and that therfore the issraeli PM should repeatedly make the statment she said) comes again from her misunderstanding of where that "honesty" comes from, it is simply because it's too unpopular to even say currenty in p@lestinitan politics, but they are definity aren't above lying when it becomes clear to the population it's in their intrest to do so, and they even have a permission to do so in isl@m(AKA "t@qiyah" and more).

Don't forget Kazaria and Ukraine, which is where the Kazarian King in 741 AD converted his people to Judaism, so he can take a stance against his Muslim and Christian enemies. Those Jews later spoke Yiddish, a sort of amalgamation of other languages, after the fall of Kazaria to the Tartarians in the 1300s. So that's how Europe got filled with homeless Jews who only spoke Yiddish. Y'all didn't just flood from Asia and Arabia and concentrate in Europe.

I just don't get why people in power do not listen to Einat..until the guy in the tshirt starts talking . He is clearly a conservative and thus not a visionary. Both his kind of thinking and the left kind of thinking have ruled the situation up till now and its not working in bringing any change. He is the same as why he doesn't believe others could change

Being a visionary isn't going to change the existence of the Muslim. Sorry. The guy in the T-Shirt is simply living on Planet Earth and using his brain. I can't imagine how one could get so confused, No Offense. The left nor the right have ruled anything up until now.. but ya know what has ? Islam. The Muslims. You really are sitting here saying the right doesn't want change lol We are the visionaries who created a Nation with no slavery and equality for all .. but I digress. It's the Muslims.. And I say Muslims rather than just Gazans.. because it's all of them. They have called the shots, set the stage and determined the fates of the innocent. They have invaded, slaughtered, raped, enslaved and colonized for 1400 years. I can assure you they have no desire to change their mind about Israel, for any reason.

Enat, you are so eloquent as usual. I think the history between the Jews and the Muslims from Persia to Morocco is so relevant to blocking a solution that it should be discussed. The Arabs have looked at Jews as Dhimmis for 1,200 years. When the ruler of the Ottoman Empire decided to abolish the status of Dhimmis in the middle of the 19th century the Arab Muslims continued to apply it wherever they could and today they still can’t accept any Jews being not just their equals but wealthier and better educated and having a better life than themselves. That is the root of the problem. A religious reformation of Islam is the only way. Until that is achieved the Jews and the Arabs can’t live next to each other.

What's funny is, Islam is actually 5000 years old. Bishop Lucifer of Sardinia plagiarized the ancient Quran and wrote the Holy Bible around 325AD. Jews were invented much much later, possibly by the King of Kazaria himself around 741 AD as opposition to the other two Abrahamic religions, and they may have invented their own false history. After the fall of Kazaria to #Tartaria, the Jews flooded Europe with Yiddish speaking homeless people who had no nation anymore because they lost the war. So they reinvented themselves as THE ORIGINAL PEOPLE OF ISRAEL to save face.

Palestinians need strong, reasonable leadership. Leaders are needed who think pragmatically rather than being driven by ideology and a desire for revenge. It may also indicate the need for international mediation. But who will do it?

Firstly, Einat is exceptionally eloquent and I agree with most of what she has to say. But I find her brainstorm, that one could know what Palestinians want if you listen to what they say, to be rather ironic. People on my side of the aisle were saying that since the people on her side began pushing for a two state solution, but they didn't pay attention to us any more than they paid attention to the Palestinians. So "no shit, sherlock!" Secondly, she has a bit of a point when she says that opposing "Palestinianism" doesn't make one a Rightist. A true Rightist, a nationalist, opposes giving away any of the ancestral home of the Jewish People, especially Judea and Samaria, the very heartland of our national home. We might agree to doing so if that is what it takes to survive, but we would lament having to do so, not celebrate it.

57:48 I don’t mean to be offensive to her but that is the most naive take. It’s written in the Koran/Hadith that Muslims can fake agreements with infidels. So it doesn’t matter what they say, they’ll break the agreement. What would be her solution for that?

Just a thought experiment.. But if a muslim man-judeic woman get together somehow, judeic man-muslim woman which nation- state could they move to be left alone to be loving and marry... would thwy allow it from both sides relgiously or illegally by religion or maybe even unalived.. which way more likely force to convert.. Woud a converted be allowed to live palestine or Israel.. Which would allow what.. By sharia women cant marry or convert like a holy law right? so would the man need to be converting even if not want to.. would judeic state and country allow muslim convert to judeic ?
