In my opinion, I think the scary thing about dreamcore is that there’s no one in the images. There are many places that seem like there should be people there, but instead it’s empty, even if it’s daytime. (playgrounds, parks, malls, etc) It triggers your fear of being alone, but also looks really welcoming because you’ve been there at least once in your life.

in my opinion, i think dreamcore or liminal spaces are scary as heck, a place you don't know but you feel like you do is teriffying to think off, it felt kinda like having a dementia or alzheimer scenario, where you felt like you don't know but actually do

I've been in the backrooms community for almost 2 years, but the accounts I used to have back in the day have been lost. The first level I discovered was level 0, and at first I tought it was just some impossible-to-escape infinitly generated level, and there was no more to it. But when I discovered more levels, I started to get the vibes of it, and some dreamcore songs just make the backrooms 2x more nostalgic

I think liminal spaces are people, (specifically people in their 20s) remembering times during the early internet age in their childhood where third places were a bigger part of communities and peoples identity than now where certain stores have closed due to the internet marketplaces /streaming. In sociology, the third place refers to the social surroundings that are separate from the two usual social environments of home and the workplace.
