One game i was Jester. I claimed myself second day. At night somebody attacked me but doctor nursed me back to health. People thought i was immune and lynched me. So i got lynched. And when i got lynched i haunted the Godfather. That was one of my favourite jester games i had.

Ranked would probably be a million times better if they took out one RT and replaced it with an Any, maybe a Neutral Benign. Here's the possible outcomes: 1. It could bring potential Vampires into the mix to convert townies, thus reducing their numbers, but won't necessarily cause auto-losses for town because the vamps/mafia/nk/ne can kill each other easily (kinda like how in the Sponsors gamemode, there's lots of town, but more often than not, the evils kill each other, and the town still win a number of times). Side note: if the TK is Vampire Hunter, and neither of the RT are Vigilantes, then the town won't have a role that can kill overnight other than the Jailor. 2. It could bring a neutral third party like a Survivor or an Amnesiac into the mix to exist as potential kingmakers and extra votes for the evils, and occasionally, the town. 3. It could bring a second Neutral Killing or Neutral Evil to cause even more chaos within the town and could potentially give mafia more numbers. This might be the least balanced outcome towards the town, but it's not like the current rolelist is any better. 4. If the Any is a town member, then the town will still have nine people and literally nothing will change. HOWEVER, the evils probably won't leave because they won't know what the "Any" is until well into the game, potentially giving mafia more motivation to play at all and maybe even raise their wincount. Not only would this make it easier to win as an evil and potentially motivate them to play instead of leave, but it would actually make Ret and Mayor more balanced. Sometimes, even necessary. wooo, rant over

Used to be like that and just felt really shitty to play. What they need to do and refuse to do is remove retri from ranked (or the whole game pref). That would fix about 80% of the problems with balancing.

I even got a town role list for that: Town: -TI -TI -TI -TK -TK -TS or TP -RT Maf: -Mafioso -Framer -Consort Vamp of course :p Coven: -Coven leader -Hex master And two amnes of course :p The coven and maf can be replaced with some randoms, sure, but I like it more that way I think...

I think Arsonist when he lights his doused targets they should be unidentifable, kind of like a janitor. It would give arsonist a reason light more often and have more claim space. Werewolf idk how you can make it better, maybe change its invest results to allow more claim room?

BMG tried to balance it but they don't play the game so they don't understand that this isn't balanced. It was better with an NB, an Any, the possibility of two jesters, two NK's, four mafia, and no having four confirmed mafia does NOT make it better. It makes it worse for evils.

I recently tried to play this game again, its alot of fun. But one thing I find strange is how incredibly serious some players are, if I'm just playing on classic to try all the roles and have fun, some people play like they are on RANKED. Can't imagine playing ranked, lol. When you start taking a game so serious you start insulting people :)

Look. I've won as Arso *5* times this season and WW 3 times so far. Before the changes this season - maybe once as WW only and never as Arso. It is much easier to win as NK now than before. It is STILL hard yes, hence you win more elo. I've never had a better season in terms of enjoyment - if you're having a hard time, either you're burnt out or it's the rank you're in. At Diamond and Master, evil is alot of fun. Even if you lose. Quite possibly because you barely lose elo in Master, it makes for a more carefree play style in everyone... Either way, it is absolutely possible to win as Arso/NK. Reason this Arso lost - didn't ignite early enough/doused poor targets. He had Jailor doused N2 and doesn't ignite when Mafioso is dead and GF can be blocked? That's not how you play Arso.

Also Skimm. You might try making a backlog of games with subscribers for cases like today. That way when you hit game 4 or 5 you can just stop and put up a backlog game. Or heck, even a recording of a livestream if you had an interesting game or two.

Maybe to buff mafia, you can have the ability to visit a target without doing your ability. So a consort can visit a townie without roleblocking. Or non killing maf can actually visit maf so as to throw spies off

NK should be able to work WITH Mafia, like Witch does. IF Mafia wins, NK also gains a few Elo but if Mafia lose, then NK can still solo win for more Elo. I think this would incentivize NK to stick around and try. I also don't think it would unbalance the game because NK doesn't know who Mafia is and can still kill them.

The more I play Town of Salem ranked the more I lose love for the game. I go back and think I can give it a try and then I end up as Arsonist who dies on Day 3. Or I come back as like 22 mafia in a row with players who don't claim a role or make wills as mafia and just die on the stand or in jail. The times I do get it right as town are typically the times there is no medium when you need one (as opposed to 3 mediums when you don't) or no Mayor, or no Rerti (until you by faint chance do) or a Jailor that is silent all game and when he dies you are left sifting through his will. Arsonist role needs a tweak, maybe kill 3 town (Mafia and Neutral Evil don't count) or something, Mafioso is the most boring role of all time to have guaranteed in ranked.

I was playing town of salem ranked, and there was this guy and we all suspected he was maf, he claimed vig in chat then got jailed the next day and the jailor said he claimed med, when I died I talked to him and he said "when I claimed vig everyone thought I was mafia so I claimed medium instead" so this dude, was like "oh no I claimed vig and they dont believe me.. I always have mixed feelings when the Derp Crew plays TOS. On one hand I LOOOOVE them and the TOS gameplay entertains me but on the other hand . . . they tend to play poorly and I cringe lol. But I'm glad they're getting better at the game.
