As for the mayor thing, I think Skimm sponsors barely play TOS so when they do, they can't figure out a rolelist. I have a good jest strategy Just sit there quietly; do NOT talk; always vote inno for fake claims, And claim jailor; this works best if Jailor's dead; and finally.. Freak out while their voting and say Gg to town once you get voted Guilty. I played this strategy, everyone was susp of me 5 days in, and on night 7 I was killed by maf. So here's a story for you. It was a normal ranked practice mafia game. I was the mayor. After some tension I was forced to reveal. 6 town, 2 mafia, 1 arsonist. After jailor did some work, it was 3 town vs just 1 mafia. It was confirmed mayor, 2 lookout claims both with bad wills and the jailor. I was jailed, I wasn't sure why, to protect me? Or did jailor forget I was the mayor. Guess what. The the mafioso decided to not attack. "Jailed" "NO MAFIA KILLS YOU MUST BE MAFIA"-the jailor "Im confirmed mayor" "No room for mayor and how are you confirmed?"-One of the lo claims that was now confirmed mafia I was so confused I forgot I could instantly put one of them to trial and guilty I die Luckly jailor jailed the the mafia and we won. ...

I think you're forgetting that the Necronomicon makes the Coven member holding it appear as NS to a Sheriff (and Necromancer definitely had the Necronomicon N3 because they used a ghoul, which is only possible with Necronomicon).

Most likely was the common human error case where one tries to change the target last second, thought it was one person that was targeted but not checking chat log to confirm name, or the worst one of all, forgot to check or deselected the person, being too embarrassed to admit this and just made it up forgetting the error earlier... or finally, needs new glasses (multiple possible meanings in that).
