I haven't heard David Frizzell in a while and I ran across him tonight while watching country road. I remember when he and Shelly West first got together and I also remember Shelly and her Mother Dottie West singing live at a 4th of July celebration at a carnival in a much smaller area than they were probably use too. It was a town called Martin Tennessee in West Tennessee. Dotty was one of the main attractions. She brought Shelly out that night and that was the first time I had ever heard her and then David and Shelly got together and this was the first song I ever heard them sang. That was probably in the late 60's. I loved them all. After running across David tonight, I believe he's even better than he was. This is another true country artist and what country is all about. Shelly wasn't available tonight on this video but this young lady and David nailed it together as we'll. She sounded awesome. Great feeling and emotion, great true country sound.
