Two Steps From Hell always demonstrates the power of a simple, repetitive melody. Many composers fail to realize that a song doesn't have to be complicated to be good. Glad Thomas and Nick have it right :)
@hanzu59108 жыл бұрын
+Christian Fortner have you ever tried playing ANY of the TSFH song ? Let me know whe they're simple, i'm curious.
@Clem-qe6sv8 жыл бұрын
+Wndrr lol simple doesn't mean easy.
@christianfortner8 жыл бұрын
+Wndrr Well that's just me, lol. I personally think melodies like this and Victory and Strength of a Thousand Men are relatively simple when you really listen to it. Even Cannon in D Minor. The best example of this Heart of Courage, their most famous song. It's really a simple song. Just a beautiful introduction, an epic riff, and on top of it, and a simple memorable melody. It's incredible.
@VirtusH8 жыл бұрын
+Christian Fortner That's the one thing I don't like about these guys, a lot of their music is too repetitive.
@christianfortner8 жыл бұрын
+Virtus H It's understandable. To some people it gets annoying/takes away the effect (idk if that's how you feel), but for me it makes it more memorable.

(Yes, I know I'm 2 years too late.) DO NOT DO THAT!!! Maybe they will say "see you later, suckers..." and walk off with a great big wad of cash in hand. Then what our poor ears be forced to endure?!?! Stupid songs by depressed teenagers about "oh, my girlfriend dumped me, I better kill myself?" Or songs that say "do me" fifty times before some drunkard bashes a drum with his forehead a few times? DO NOT DO IT!!!! (R.I.P ears)

Three things. First, economy of scale. Have you noticed how many albums these guys have produced? Multiply that by sales, add in YT commisions, merch. They don't need you to give them a lump sum. They can't even count the dollars coming in. Second. They don't do it for the money. Obviously. And third, become a billionaire.

Each generation has and will have a select group of musicians and composers that will leave their mark on history until the end of time.
