Hey Harvey it's fabulous to have you back and thanks for the update on life - jees bud you've had a time of it, so sorry to hear about your mum....not sure what else I can say on that. Please do keep making the videos in some form, you have an infectious character and a natural manner in front of the camera, I think you could make a good go of KZbin as a career if you so wished, if not at least keep it as a hobby and, when you can, film us an update on what you're riding now. Stay safe mate and look forward to hearing from you again soon!!

Earth to Prodigal Harvey: Welcome back. I recall a situation I was in that caused a large course correction in my life, too. An attorney (barrister?) friend offered some uncomfortable advice. He said, "You need to get on with it. Years from now, you will regret the time you freeze into immobility and don't move forward. Push ahead, and prove to the world and yourself that you're still in the game." I took his advice, and rarely look back. He was right, and his advice was spot on. I exited with a far better future, and it came true. Just get on with it. You have a gift for living and showing it to others. *Cherish the past, but get into it with the future.* By the way, many of us are not from the UK, so if you ride around there in the interim, and talk about it, you'll find a lot of interest. To me, encountering the UK is as interesting as Africa -- seen through the right eyes. The time will come for meeting Magadan or Kathmandu. *Send postcards.*

Hey mate...just wanted to say this...your the reason I ride my bike. After watching you collect that 125cc from Ireland...then touring it home. I now have a 1250 GSA & I love touring Europe & various other places. I lost my Dad to the Big C in April this year. Loading up the bike helps me process life without him if that makes any sense. I wouldn't have that release if I'd never watched that vid you made of that tour. I love your channel & your Mum would be really proud that you bring alot of enjoyment to many people with the vids you post. & your right.... essential touring gear....the shades...Welcome back my freind. See you in the passes......

It's never easy going through something like that, but these big and painful experiences in life are what makes us who we are. It's good to experience hardship and adversity, even when it is hard to understand in the moment. Adversities like this give us a chance to reassess our lives and offer room for character shift. It sounds like your head and heart are in the right place, and I wish you the best! Happier days await you with blissful presence. Thank you for being an inspiration for adventure, the world needs more Harveys!

Harvey, so great to have you back. It took me three years to stop grieving for my mom and the pain never goes. Anyway, I was born in Zambia, grew up in zimbabwe and I know you and I both k now about Africa magic . There are great things destined for you and you need to organise a group of riders to ride say from Cape town to Victoria falls , Kariba through Malawi Mozambique and put bikes back on the ship in durban or beira and return to uk or we sell them there and fly back . So so great to see you again and you not going anywhere now. We are all your family now. Abe

Harvey!! I’m so sorry to hear about your mum! I was so pumped to see you had uploaded a new video, been missing your vids and was gutted for you hearing about your mum. Was only talking about you a couple of weeks ago on piston heads recommending your videos. Do what you’ve got to do for you but please do try and keep the channel going, your videos were the starting block for me getting into the adventure riding scene, I’m planning a round the world trip and that all started by watching your Varadero vids back in the day. Stay safe big man!

So sorry for your loss Harvey. I watched the whole series of your Africa trip only yesterday. I thought it amazing how open you were to such a huge challenge: one that I wouldn't have the guts to ever try. Saying that, after watching the series, I was inspired to take my 125 - I'm a learner - out to somewhere new today rather than the usual roads, and I reflected that much like life, it's the journey and not just the destination that matters. All the best.

Sorry for your loss Harvey. Although we all handle the passing of a loved one differently, I'd like to think I understand what you've went through (and continue to go through). My father died suddenly and unexpectedly last year, and unfortunately I did not even have a chance to fly home and say goodbye. Two weeks later, I rode my bike home instead of flying as I usually do, in honor of him. It's great to have you back.

I guessed something significant had happened when you suddenly disappeared from air. I just wanted to say that your previous videos inspired me when I returned to biking in 2017, after a 40 year gap would you believe. It would be so good if you continued to make biking videos, even in the UK. As Andy TMF says you are a natural in front of the camera. So best wishes and I hope to see more videos from you soon. Cheers. Phil.

So so relieved to see you again Harvey, I'm soo glad to know you are ok, hearing about your mum explains everything, my sincere condolences to you my friend, it not easy losing a parent and my heart goes out to you at such a young age, you are a remarkable young man and I'm sure your mum is proud of you and all your achievements, I have to say I always thought what a brave woman she was as you embarked on your trip to southern Spain' I remember her in the video as she stood at the garage door waving you off in the wee small hours, not sure how I would have felt being in that position as a father myself!, as a fan of your channel Thankyou for the update I could see it wasn't easy for you, but I want you to know that I am so happy to know you are ok, I've looked at your Facebook and on here regularly just to find out how you were. All the very best to you as you move forward , it does get easy with time as you learn to adjust, keep her with you in your heart and on your travels, all the very best to you and your family, take care my friend

Thank you for the update! I'm so sorry for your mother. Unfortunately, those are the ways of life. Not fair. I guess it strengthened the post adventure blues immensely. Enjoyed following the trips in the past. Won't mind if there were to come new ones. Doesn't have to be far. Normal is good. Include the bits others normally don't, like how it really feels to be on a long journey. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. That's why not everyone does it.
