Me growing up in a Puertorican household I call my aunts “titi” and my Central American friends laughed at me when they heard that for the first time. One of them was even born in El Salvador and moved here when he was in elementary school and he grew up calling his aunts “Tia.” I used to have a Guatemalan friend and even he called his aunts Tia. And Guatemala is in. Central America and so is El Salvador and Honduras. Idk if u heard them say “titi” in ur own experience but if not and someone told u they say “titi” then they are just wrong
