I REACTED TO PLOT TWIST ON PATREON IN JANUARY AND HATED IT. I KNOW IT WELL BTW, I KNOW Rookies usually will GO HARD but I thought it'd be important to voice the trajectory I'd like to see them go in as they continue to perform this song! Oh were you talking about plot twist when talking about the debut song because if so then their actual debut song is called Oh Mymy: 7s

Oh my mistake you were talking about this song

I am so so proud of my cute and adorable Introverted babies TWS watching their growth since their Pre-debut. TWS went from shy and nervous Intoverts to obtaining so much confidence, and they will keep on growing. The hard intense PLEDIS training has paid off. I am so amazed TWS went through a whole trilogy lore in one year from Plot Twist to If I’m S, Can You Be My N?, and ending with Last Festival as TWS’ Graduation from their Monster Rookie Year. I am happy TWS do have 13 of the best Seniors in SEVENTEEN who have been really hands on in helping TWS throughout TWS’ Rookie Year. I am excited for what 2025 has in store for TWS.

32:20 That’s Kyungmin!! My bias!! He’s the maknae and only 17 but he has this natural talent and charisma that you can’t teach, you’re born with it. Also, he’s an insane dancer and vocalist. I definitely see a very bright future for him.
@ciara4559Ай бұрын
i'm sure you've figured it out by now but the one you like in the blue jacket is kyungmin!! the maknae :)

He’s SO TALENTED

Jihoon is the main dancer, his specialty is tutting, and Kyungmin is in the dance line with Jihoon. Jihoon and Kyungmin also have a lot of experience with doing their own choreography. If you are interested to check it out on your own time, i would recommend for you to watch their encore stages. They are def one of the better 5th gen groups when it comes to vocals, and even better than many 4th gen groups i would say.
@dldkdbs271Ай бұрын
20:45 fyi this part actually choreographed by jihoon himself

I don’t understand why HYBE producers always hide the adlibs when they could have pushed more with this song( Last festival ) and make that outro really epic
@Koko3opАй бұрын
Like you can HEAR THEM dying to get out. I dunnooo it's weird

I was just about to comment this. I'm SO frustrated by how far back the adlibs are at the end.

Thank you so much for reacting to tws' 1st single album. Their vocals give an overall sense of stability, but the more important thing about them is that they are a dance group, so even though they perform intense choreography, their live performance is very good without shaking.💙🤍💙🤍
@blynnhilАй бұрын
TWS is actually known for their good live vocals, I'm glad you're trying to react to them again but I remember seeing your first reaction to them and I do think you judged them too quickly since the song you reacted to wasn't even their debut song but their pre-release song and the other songs in their debut album were good like "Unplugged Boy" & "First Hooky". Their songs from their 2nd album were also good, I love "Hey Hey", if you like vocal based songs you should check out "Keep On"
@blynnhilАй бұрын
The debut song "Plot Twist" and the title track of their first comeback "If I'm S, Can you be my N" are both good

I did also react to plot twist at the time

The one you previously reacted to is actually not their debut song, their debut song is "Plot Twist" and it's such a huge hit.. almost everyone in korea know that song

Thank you for bringing to my attention the new song (last festival). I like it. Also, I will be paying attention to this group from now on. They have a lot of potential.

29:10 Going off what you were saying, the choreo being at max power the whole time means that theres not many moments that i specifically remember, honestly the moments that i do are the slower moments, whereas sprinkling those intense moments in will catch attention even more, giving you something to remember the choreo by. Just sitting in the groove more feels a bit needed - a newer group that actually does this well, in my opinion, is NEXZ. I feel they'll get there though, they absolutely have the talent!

Just so you know, the song you previously reached to wasn't their debut. It was a pre release, and it just wasn't vocal heavy. Their debut was so good. Their vocals were always great. They have been sweeping all the rookie awards, and it is well deserved.

Omg I keep seeing these comments. I also reacted to plot twist but it was only on Patreon lol. Jesus

Yaaaas the kyungmin love!!! I do agree with you about the choreo. They are so talented but it does feel a little exhausting watching them sometimes because they’re SO energetic and it’s sometimes hard pick up on key choreo within a performance cause it’s in your face all the time. Thank you for giving them another chance ❤

Personally plot twist wasn’t for me! 6:59 last festival defo best song and I like Oh My. I think they are one of the best 5th gen groups atm for vocals and performance I just hope they starting getting better songs more variety and challenging. Yes I know they only debuted so they aren’t as touch and they have the more bright pop fun sound for their concept but I need more vocals from them. But the members are adorable and so cute. I would love SVT producer Bumzu try one of their songs. My biases are Youngjae and Dohoon but shinyu and kyungmin wreck 🙈😭😂

I think this rigidity in the choreo is pretty standard among HYBE groups. I was just having the same realization with some of TXT’s choreography and my conclusion is that most HYBE groups are not known for their groove, they tend to dance really sharp, on the beat, in synchronicity. Nothing wrong with it, I think it’s just their signature whereas groups from another company will have different tendencies.
@thaynarateles5891Ай бұрын
Actually, this is a characteristic of Pledis groups. So much so that one of the demands and pressures from Pledis producers and directors on TWS was exactly this. In every generation of the company, it has always been known for having highly synchronized groups with difficult choreographies and excellent live singing. Look at Pledis' history of groups, and you'll see this. 🥰

And I think it works overall but when genres shift I think the execution should also match which is also more difficult

31:17 exactly!! Idk why people are taking this the wrong way, they're rookies and are still working/solidifying their own personal styles with dance. Agreed with what you said that in few years time the way they move to this song is definitely gonna be different
@devotion_twsАй бұрын
Ah I remember you, I was like this motherfcker, but I get that not everyone has the same taste. Actually when you said you wont react to tws any further I was like 'hmm you'll see' lol. Also Kyungmin, actually even it was agreed upon the members that he has the best execution and expression when it comes to performance, he's definitely tws' hidden weapon, actually youngjae too he keeps pulling up new skills, surprising us 42 (the fans). Also TWS is pronounced 'to us', its easier and imo sounds better

OOOOHHH good to know and yesss i indeed was that mother fuckaaahh

Thank you, I felt the same way about the choreography for Last Festival, it was too sharp and fast in most places. Don't get me wrong, I love it and I think these kids pull it off extremely well but it could have been a little more relaxed. I also realized that Yumeki and Root did the choreography and their style of dancing tends to be faster paced and a sharper. I recently saw The8's choreography for his new single Orbit. It also has an afrobeat riddim but the choreo is more relaxed and groovy. Tarzan from Aittytoo choreographed it, and he also worked on BTBT for B.I. I think The8 pulls off that style extremely effortlessly, I'd suggest maybe checking it out. Plus, he's one of my favorite kpop dancers.

i like that PLEDIS obviously has a clear concept for them and South Korea is EATING IT UPP, but their debut really wasn't my bag at all lol i don't see why it was so popular along with their 1st comeback (but i think most of my taste don't align with what's popular in the SK charts, especially for boygroups) this comeback tho!! i love it
