This is an amazing documentary. I’ve loved 9th wonder’s music since I was in high school. I knew of his accolades as a producer, but I never knew he was a lecturer, I never knew how humble he was. I would love to spend an afternoon just kicking it on a porch, listening to some vinyl, and shooting the shit with this man. Just appreciating the creative genius and the moment.

I was in one of the first beat battles up there. I remember 9th was a judge (I think DJ Flash was actually spinning that night). Local 506 was the Hip Hop spot for underground Emcees back in like, '03-'04. I had just moved back home from Atl. I used to drive up to Chapel Hill from Durham every Monday night and rock the mike! They had a dope open mike. I had a feature set there once. I was only a few years into beat making at the time. I remember Khrysis was in that same battle.....I lost, lol.
