I needed this story today!!!! Thank you for sharing your story and this wonderful message!!! I'm not suicidal but I'm incredibly heartbroken and in a very sad slump for the very same reason. My spouse said the same thing to me except for I'm the lady the Auntie mentioned, I've been married for almost 30 years, kids, strong family relationships, many friendships, etc etc....every day hurts and every day is a challenge to get through. I am truly inspired by your ability to turn inwards and love yourself!!! I work on that every day and hope to get to a place where I am completely healed, and yes, I would love to find my person, my life partner. Yes, it is so true. When i were with my ex, I did everything I could and made the best Hmong authentic foods for him, bc he's an older man and that's what he want. But no matter how much I cater up to him, he still couldn't love me. After I decided to grant him his wish, I met a better man who treat me like a Queen. Love me for who I am. He do everything for me bc he love me. Love is free, do not lose hope. Do not slave yourself for someone who doesn't love you.

Well Sisters dont be afraid to divorce if it gets bad this is the USA not LAOS. We live life once it is okay to move on and not let Hmong men tell us how we live and do not let the weak Hmong community shun divorced Hmong sisters for having a broken marriage. What a jerk...if your 1st husband didn't like u in the first place, he should not agree to marriage. He is a guy, so it doesn't affect him much to divorce, but the community is not as nice to divorced women. She is lucky to have understanding parents and an aunt who supported her. Or else she prob gonna live miserable her whole life.
