Ima give my opinion, I thought Timera did a great job as capt maintaining the cleanliness and high-quality standard of the fieldwork as a capt and leading the team ESPECIALLY after coming after a 2 year like Kaelyn (and even Shyienne's one game during the pandemic). She honestly maintained and added where necessary IMO. Yes, get into them alltogethers, Timera really had a strength there as well, because her musicality especially watching during basketball season as well, a lot of the risks she took stands wise paid off for the most part. If ima be real about the music, Brian/TxSU staff is talented as f, ME PERSONALLY, I'd love a more of a better mix because this year was moreso rap tune/slow song heavy, which is ok in moderation but if you aren't careful IT CAN DRAG as we've seen the past. BUT ultimately, I am pleased with Motion this season and excited to see there new upcoming season, they have ALOT of heavy hitters! Anyways, Bravo Timera/Motion!

The Motion ate all season. Their counts are so friggin swaggy! But this was a really good season overall for all the squads. Imo Motion, Jsettes and the Divas ate hands down & delivered. The bands play the same ole songs like all of the schools so it’s definitely not the music imo. Now Tymera is a beast but I can agree that she did not always draw you in. But the girl eats! But she can fix that if chosen again - as captain it may be the sensuality that we are missing - a lot of captains don’t get it right the first time around -we see this a lot but it’s definitely something that can be fixed tho. The Jsettes ate in creativity and delivery for them. Folks slept on Lenea but now she’s legendary! She woke everyone up! Folks hated Kayla’s StingSette counts in 2018 but look how this team delivered them along with the classic counts ATE! I luv the Stings but folks have a tendency of falling in love with the captain first and the captain is not the team she’s the captain if that makes sense. And them collaborating with the honeybees whether in the stands or field does not give them the crown every year but the Stings will always bring the glam - well mostly!luv the hair and the unis. The sensual glam is enticing and exciting. But imo I need new counts from them. But it’s ok for folks to fave their fave. Folks are just starting to grasp the Motion style - it’s a lot but their counts hunti and the way they deliver them now.. CIRCLES! They run circles around you the girls ya heard and in heels! However, the captain of the year for me goes to Lenea!

Morgan! You should only judge how the team interpret the music! Because it’s not a collaborative effort, the team has no idea what the director is going to play! Great season Motion. I LOVE me some Motion and am an OG fan. But if I’m honest something was missing this season. I don’t think it was the music at all because they played NEW music at almost every game unlike most teams who play the same songs at every game. Brian Simmons ATE up the swac, even with a smaller squad than most opponents. I love me some Mera but I think a captain change would reinvent them for next season. And once again BRING BACK 22! Niyah Lacour or Kayla King for captain. More so Lacour! Especially since her counts she made up are already LEGENDARY all over social media! Dani be fair with your next captain.

As a side note, I do hope we got some more signature TxSU classics like Vibe, The Boss, Jumpstart, Honey Love added with the new stuff, I was very happy when they brought back Private Eyes this year too, AND YES Morgan I'd love to see them bring back another old field, I'm still hoping they bring back the "2008 Damaged by Danity Kane" field show because the girls got the technique on the field to do it. that would be EVERYTHING!

Motion is the class act of the SWAC! The Field shows and the stand formations are the best and the captain had an incredible year. Their best overall performance was the SU game and I wish they could have maintained that dominance throughout the season. The Ocean and their director, Brian, are great! Hopefully, there will be more up tempo music for the Fall season and we will play better selections when there is a big game like JU. We should not try new songs we have not mastered during the 5th quarter battle. Morgan, I know the Jsettes were your favorite dance team this year, however Motion was right up there and should have been in the top 3. i still don't understand how 24KT was higher than Motion.

At the same time you still have to elevate and move differently! A lot of the times, most people appreciate the captain after about a year or so because they are new in the beginning but they continue to get better over time and we as an audience are getting used to a new captain. Zy really showed that growth as a captain imo. (Even though this isn’t a stingette video😂) Zy was a spunky captain imo and she gave a lot of performances personality.

To me Motion has been a top 3 team for at least the last 4 years. They just weren't ready for the J-Settes who probably worked on and designed a show as a way to get back at them for the butt whipping Motion had put on them the last 3 years. Anyone knows why the team was cut down so bad. Personally I like large squads especially when they are good like these girls and the Black Foxes.

That would be tea! Shon was so creative!! I also think Mikayla's as capt years 2016 and 2017 should be re-visited as well because that was also really a COMEBACK season for both the stands/field for Motion. A LOT of new building blocks came from that season because a lot of ppl may not know the history wise for Motion, especially after what they were going through in 2014/2015 just like Kera's year as capt in 2018 (shout out to the Kaelyn in Morgan interview for confirming this!). Them girls have BEEN working and coming through a lot of obstacles in those years. So to see them WIN it feels great!

I agree. It was missing that kick, that cayenne pepper. Things did feel repetitive. I love motion down but I was tired of that same formation and the same counts. Like the last game with the “ladybug” uniform, they could’ve did a V formation then the middle girls and 2 outside on the first row go. Idk that’s just me. Sorry but Cheyenne one game was more entertaining. Kayla was out dancing capt in my opinion, she was popping tf out. Tamara was eating during basketball season last year so what happened?

I think they had a solid season, but what I don’t necessarily like are the 16s being thrown so often. I prefer more 8 counts and some 16s mixed in. I think it can feel really long especially if it’s not altogether

Imma have to agree with Morgan on this one!!!! They were the top team on the field this season. No question about it!!! But aside from their terrific stand routines, we got the same 20 counts the ENTIRE season 😢 didn’t matter what song or formation, it was the same counts. And I hate that for them…but I also think this is an opportunity to get creative and add to the book next year!!! Motion has a lot of old school material that can be changed and brought back!! I’m excited to see what they bring next season because they are AMAZING and sooooo clean and creative. Great job ladies!!! ❤

😂you dont have to lie to agree with someone or validate whatever point their trying to make. Motion did not throw the same 20 counts to every song, I think this team has become such a threat to everyone else favorite that we look for any and every little detail to discredit them with comments like this when I can easily do a comparison video of the top 5 swac schools and count how many times they throw the same count , and some 2, and 3 times within one quarter hunts, Stingettes, Divas, golden girls and even sometimes the Settes but we turn a blind eye to it cause that’s our fav right!? Right. But when it’s motion we let them have it… similar to stand routines, we cried and cried, wrote Dani personal Messages about stopping only for the teams y’all consider to be the top dogs , do them every 5th quarter this year 😂. Ocean of soul had one of the most diverse and great books this season. Music can’t be the excuse for every school.
