I also wanted to sing the song similarly, but I think it's not easy to replicate such a great singer's style and feeling. As soon as we finished today's performance, I think I spent a lot of time looking up reactions to it. Thankfully, many people watched it well, and I am happy. Well it does mean a lot for the guy who started the song, the one who sings Jonghyun's parts (blue and white varsity jacket). This song became his inspiration to be an artist and it's when he first heard this song that he began his journey. The way TXT covers other groups is that they don't try to exactly be like them or copy them, but they perform it in their own style as if its their own song while at the same time they perform it to the standards of the original artist and try to give off the same nostalgic emotions the original artist gives. I don't know if that makes sense? But I personally feel like the way txt executes covers is genuinely the best I've ever seen. I've seen so many groups doing covers where they're trying to copy or be exactly like the original artist and it's just not that impressive? On top of all of that, txt is a very unique group with a unique sound and they very much resemble shinee. I have huge respect for them that they're actually doing something different and unique in this generation from most bgs and bringing in more diversity into the kpop industry. I feel like they're one of the only big company groups right now that's genuinely living up to their privilege and hype. Mad respect to txt, this performance was incredible and one that I'll never forget.

When I watched it for the first time I started crying mostly because of Taehyun's part. i’ve listened to txt’s album as a casual kpop listener but as a shawol of course i was drawn to this cover. i think halfway thru the song i realized it wasn’t actually shinee but txt performing, which is to say, they did an amazing job. i don’t know if this is a thing with other shawols but this song makes me extremely emotional (especially since his passing) and seeing the amount of respect and care the txt boys put into the performance brought so much joy to me. Don’t wanna just name an specific member because to me they all put something in the performance that reminded me so much of shinee (but definite kudos to the kid doing jjong’s part, his letter was also very lovely)... and so, now i’m very excited about what txt will bring to the table in 2020. So I just wanted to point this out but I really have mad respect for TXT. No shade to other groups but they always try to be different, when they cover a senior group. Make it their own and try not to copy the original artist. But when TXT covers a songs. They make it their own but also don't. Whew...Man, I just spent over five minutes in the restroom of my office balling my freaking eyes out. I was not prepared. I am familiar with TXT. Mainly because I am an ARMY. I absolutely love BTS. But I do have a different kind of love for SHINEE. Because before I was an ARMY, I was first and foremost a SHAWOL. SHINee was the bridge that led me to kpop in the first place! Go back ten years and in 2010 I had come across one of their music videos in my recommended feed. It was Replay. And as I watched this video for the first time, the feeling I had deep down inside was damn near indescribable. I was already listening to Jpop and J-rock beforehand but this...It felt like I had found some magical unicorn. The excitement was unreal and I remember having 'Replay' on repeat for hours at a time. After that I came across their reality show 'hello baby' and I became an instant SHAWOL. When I entered college, I took a break from kpop until late 2016. In between, I was still listening to kpop on my mp3 player but as far as looking for new talent, I had no desire to do so. Then BTS came along and swept me off my feet. But SHINee had always held a special place in my heart. This performance brought back such a huge wave of nostalgia. And I lost it as soon as Taehyun started singing Jonghyun's part. Dear god. It was almost spot on. This is the best cover of 'Replay' I've ever heard. I even went to go watch other covers of this song to remain unbiased but NONE of them invoked the number of emotions this cover did. Not even close. TXT has shouted for more of my attention and they have it now more than ever. Thank you TXT for treating this amazing song with such care and respect. Thank you for letting me go back to a time left behind. God the tears wont stop even after watching this a second time. TXT is a group to look out for. Whew...

LovelyMusicQueen I know this was 4 months ago but what you write. Honestly, one of the best and sweetest comments I've seen. I can totally understand how much you love SHINee because I love txt exactly the same. I'm so happy that you thought that they did a great cover of it and that you don't get ”offended” because they might have done it badly. The thing that makes this song even better is that Taehyun/ he that covers Jonghyun's part, actually saw their performance, and wanted to become a singer. I love to see these comments that other fandoms ”support”/ compliments other groups. I've seen a lot of fandoms argue but this is what fandoms really are. No fandoms have to argue and compare their idols to others. Thank you for posting this comment. It really made my day.

Without a doubt TXT is the most synchronized group of the fourth generation of kpop. Clearly they work very hard to be that perfect, in addition that they have a lot of energy! One of my favorite fourth generation groups.

I am such a picky ass shawol and I seldom see a cover of shinee that I like but this almost made me cry???? Fr. The only other shinee group cover I’ve seen as good as this was Astro’s replay cover. This song almost sounds like it was originally txt’s and I think it’s because they really paid attention to the adlibs. I’m really proud of them as a shawol and moa. Taehyun owned his parts and hueningkai’s and yeonjun’s voice sounds like it was MADE for replay. Looooove it so much.
