Hi sir, My question is if the temperature on the sensing probe is higher the more refrigerant is pushed into the evaporator does it affects the cooling temp as the pressure is also decreased, for example we blow air out of our lungs with little more wide open sends the little more warm air in the comparison when its closed more and cooled more. What will happen if there is any liquid content also on the discharge side of the evaporator? How sensing bulb helps this?

The compressor designed to compress only vapor. So, if there is any liquid refrigerant in the evaporator, it will damage the compressor. Sensing bulb will send the proper amount of refrigerant to the evaporator. So, the refrigerant can evaporate and change from liquid to vapor. If the sensing bulb sends more refrigerant to the evaporator, all the refrigerant can't change from liquid to vapor. There are some others reasons also there for the liquid refrigerant in the evaporator like, Evaporator block and air filer block.

The refrigerant enters as a liquid at the expansion valve, and the liquid does not undergo a change in temperature as the cross-sectional area decreases. It's the gases that are affected by the change in cross-section. Please reply if you have an explanation.

It is not recommended to install a TXV with a capacity exceeding the compressor capacity. In this case, the TXV capacity (11 TR) is larger than the compressor capacity (8.75 TR). This can lead to overfeeding of refrigerant to the evaporator, resulting in reduced system efficiency, potential compressor damage, and other issues. Therefore, it is advisable to select a TXV with a capacity that matches or is slightly less than the compressor capacity. In this case, a TXV with a capacity of 8.75 TR or slightly lower would be a more suitable choice.

Think of it as the flow of the refrigerant being slowed down by forcing it through a small opening. Slowing the refrigerant reduces pressure which also reduces temperature

If there is no expansion valve, the refrigerant can't flow from condenser to evaporator. So we can't get the proper cooling and the unit will not work without expansion valve.

what i don't really get is; you have a refrigerant at most 12 degree celsius out of evaporator, then you take it out to condenser to cool it with a compressor and try to cool it down with a 27 degree celsius cooling water which comes out of cooling towers, can you explain how refrigerant is cooled down to 7 degree celsius from 12 with 27 degree celsius cooling water.

Yes, you are correct that the refrigerant comes out of the evaporator at 12°C and next, the refrigerant will enter into the compressor. The compressor will compress the refrigerant very well. So the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant will reach too high (up to 50°C) and will enter into the condenser. In the condenser, we cool it with the condenser fan. Refrigerant will enter into the expansion valve, where it will further cool down before entering the evaporator.

When the refrigerant comes out of the compressor, it will be in vapor form. Then it will enter into the condenser. When it comes out of the condenser it will be in the liquid form. Then it will enter into the expansion valve. Before entering into the expansion valve the refrigerant should be in the liquid form.

In York dual compressor centrifugal chiller, The butterfly type liquid expansion valve is used.

I think it should be high pressure liquid form

It is low pressure liquid when it come out of the expansion valve.

Instead of saying only refrigerant, you should say liquid refrigerant and gas refrigerant. How you people make the video?
