It has a lot to do with replay value. Live recordings have a wow factor to them that hit harder when they’re rarer (this Tiny Desk). For a studio album that may/may not be played on the radio, used in media, etc, it generates way more replay value when it has a refined, consistent sound.
@emectar17732 жыл бұрын
I soooo wish for that to happen more. and they could add in the 808s and take lots of time for mixing like they would if it was a normal record. but it would just have the amazing real live energy that performances like this have. for really great artists i feel like they never sound better than live

I agree like the bass on the 1st song it's not as great as it is on live performance here!

@konkey-dong4 жыл бұрын
Oh no no no he didn't invent dubstep - dubstep was originally a very different genre of british and caribbean origin, derived mostly from dub and 2-step garage (hence dub+step), but also grime, drum and bass, reggae and jungle. He just popularised the more agressive EDM-oriented style (sometimes called brostep to distinguish it from the original style) that the US knows as dubstep. If you want an example of a really good oldschool dubstep artist, I recommend Burial - his album Untrue is incredible
@macxin24154 жыл бұрын
@@konkey-dong Specifically the "Brostep" sound was made with a technique used and popularized by him called FM Distortion. On a lesser level he,in my opinion, also made what I call the "vowel chop" vocals more widely used by all kinds of artists.
