Can we just take a moment to appreciate the perfection that is Robert Downey Jr.? Like seriously, he treats Ty like his own son. Putting his arm on Ty's shoulder probably was a reassuring act on his part, because obviously, being on the red carpet live is a very big event in any kid's life. And how he tries to do a couple of jokes and lead Ty along to ease his nerves? And then when the interviewers (bad ones at that) try to get Ty to say a little more and things get a bit awkward, Robert just ends that interview like a boss. You can tell how much he actually cares despite his outwards demeanor, which ironically IS EXACTLY HOW TONY ACTS. XD I can't even right now, this man is too perfect for me.

Also, one of the many things that this movie got wrong, is that pointless theme about Tony Stark being always Iron Man. That is not only trivial and generic, but it also goes against the comic books (weird, right? Who would imagine this movie to do so?). Tony Stark was always fighting with the fact that he's Iron Man. He didn't believe that Iron Man persona is his other self. In fact, there was no Iron Man for him. There was always only Tony Stark in the suit. And if he would say something to close his arc as a character, it would be not "I Am Iron Man". It would be "I Am Tony Stark". Unlike Batman or Spider-Man, Tony Stark doesn't change his personality when he becomes superhero. But, why Am I complaining? It was directed by Shane Black. That guy is Joel Schumacher of Marvel. Fuck this movie once again.

RDJ is going great. The kid is a great actor for his age, he's adorable, he's also extremely cocky. It works well for this role when he's playing the Tony Stark mini me, but hopefully he gets more humble in the future, instead of just being full of himself. He seems to be skirting the line of being an arrogant cunt or being a confident kid. The lines seem to be quite close in terms of acting.
