+wassamattaboy He might be one of the best blues singers, but the band he's singing for, Vintage Trouble, is horrible, "The World is Yours" is a song that takes him to a closer singing style of Elmore James and really shows his talent, but Vintage Trouble is a very ordinary rock band. I guess that's what's suppose to happen when you're simply a singer, even if you're a great one, you'll always need someone to give you the songs to sing. It was a shame that Lester didn't make it as an artist in Vinyl, I was hoping he'd be some mixing of Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy and record much more songs with Taylor's voice.

+wanrleysilva When someone expresses their love for something, it's not a constructive use of your time nor enriching to anyone else to offer a counter opinion of essentially unrelated negativity. I don't know why you chose to expend your energy that way. Too bad you don't like the band, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion. They're one of the best live acts that there is out there today, tearing it up literally all over this planet. They've been on non stop touring for the last 5 years, and its really wild to see, in countless live videos, how many people are moved by them, driven to frenzy and broken down in tears. Also, Ty's not simply a singer, he's an extremely rounded and accomplished musician. A sought after songwriter, producer and arranger. His songs, played by that band, have scored number one hits worldwide, out selling Adele in some countries. People tattoo his lyrics on their bodies.. Their songs, his songs, have been the main songs at so many people's weddings that it's actually become a cliche. Try and catch them live, they may sway you.

wassamattaboy You may think I'll be ofensive, but I'm not, I'm very honest to say that you are a very stupid human being. What the fuck do you want with this lecture of "energy", "negativity" and suggestions of how I should use my time? Are you an humanitarian eastern guru who praises yin yang? Who the fuck would have respect for these old stupid cliche ideas of "energy" and "negativity"? When it comes to music you're also pure stupidity and ignorance, your argument of touring, number of fans, coming to the one of the most stupid points that I've ever seen in a music discussion when you use tears, tattoos and weddings to talk about his quality makes me think that you're fucking with me, you're either fucking with me or you're an extremely stupid human being and if you admit that you're fucking with me, I'll be fine with that, even if it's not true, denial wouldn't be the worst option in this case. What is ironic is that the character Taylor dubbed in Vinyl is the exact case to show how stupid your point is, it really shows how low a musician must go to make record, tour, be famous and make money. The scene showing Lester saying that his label was giving him childish musics to sing and being hitted back with "who do you think buys music? Stravinsky fans?" by the executive is emblematic on this issue. Vintage Trouble is a ordinary band making a poor Rolling Stones background for a man who tries to be like James Brown. This is a period where Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, James Brown, Robert Cray, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin already happened and the lesser minds want something that resembles them, it doesn't even need to be original, it just have to be... Vintage. No wonder little ordinary bands like Vintage Trouble and Alabama Shakes make success. Make people believe that the good old times are back when they're nothing but unnoriginal crap.

They got rid of vinyl - i think - that a lot of people did not understand what in happens in and how it works in record companies - first you have to make a crash course to know what it all means like „ publishing“ etc - when mr scorsese and mr jagger make a series they make it perfect because they know exactly whats going on in a record company in the 70 ith - but not a mother cleaning her room watching by the side a series likevinyl for example - that doesnt fit - vinyl was something for insider.
