Whats up man thanks for the videos i run Kyosho but im sure alot of your advice intertwines. You should make videos for first timers like me on driving, jumping etc. I bet alot of people will listen to basically the best driver in the world lol i know i would.

Thanks for the videos Ty. It would be awesome if you could do a video on Diff tuning to track conditions for the 1/8 buggy/truggy.

If you realy want a true mesh and backlash clearance. Brush on paint on the ring gear and rotate the assembly in the forward direction one revolution. You want a even spread of paint across both gears to have the correct clearance and mesh

Ty Tessmann can you please tell me if that will help keep my RC steering straight. Because I have 2 RC cars. A Tamiya TT02 with a Spektrum transmitter with AVC on and all and it still won’t keep a straight line. Like it will at time and then it will just loose the straight alignment. I’m new to the RC and am trying to learn but some things are getting beyond frustrating and don’t want to give up. My other car is an HPI Rs4 S3 Flux and I had a gyro in that car thinking it will fix the wandering steering but it did absolutely nothing. Idk what to do

Hey Ty, when re-building your diffs, what process do u use to clean all the parts inside the diff case before you add fresh oil ? My method of wiping each and every part of the diffs with a paper towel is not fun lol and takes 2-3 hours to do a re-build so I am not able to change diff oils to suit the track while at a race because I would end up missing most of my races. I really need to learn how to speed up the process, so any info that u are able to share would be awesome!

If you separate the metal gears completely (i.e. no o-rings, gaskets or plastics) then you can use any heavy duty auto degreaser which quickly dissolves gunk. If you don't have that, you can just use any light oil (with a toothbrush) to first dissolve the grease/gunk, followed by plain dishwashing detergent. I agree with Asif too. In my experience the diff plastic is pretty resistant to most oils too, but be careful with the o-rings and gaskets.

I've heard people buying a second pair of diffs with different oils so it's a straight change over, no oil change. Same for shocks. Different oils , rebound springs for different track conditions.
