In case you guys miss a few more opals, try using the magnet item from the picnic baskets. It should magnet the last remaining opals to you.

So I found the last 3. All of them were the first opal underwater in the opal trails between islands.

Vatra same thing happened to me just now. Was missing three, just happened to see one right before going into a flower launcher (or whatever they are), hoped that the other two were also there, and there they were all three underwater.

on the gamecube version i found it when i was able to make the race rex red timer clock appear apparently, i was confused aswell

You managed to complete that as well isn't there an easier way for me to swap different versions to get all of the treasure chests to magically appear and to make the red timer appear because this is a huge struggle for me with this process just to make them appear.
