You use to grind for cards in TTO, Clutch, etc, now there’s literally nothing to grind for except the garbage 10 pack box they give you The only thing worth grinding for is level 40 DRob thats it, showdown ain’t even worth grinding because you got to play way too many games Salary Cap is alright I will say though I was happy to get the puzzle pieces for the pink Diamond I wasn’t expecting to get anything good but I got Cade who has been my best pull so far these past few seasons

"You get the good players for what?" is exactly right. Once the rush of pulling/getting a good card fades, what is there to do with it? To play offline dom? Then you don't even need the best cards. You could even use lower versions of your favorite players if that's what you want.

They for sure don't care about their community. I have put over 400 hours into the game since launch. I played the game last night and posted up some auctions for 12 hours which were below the other listed prices. Mind you the prices were high on the emerald and sapphire cards from the Knockdown Knight set. Regardless I went to log in today to be notified that I received a PERMANENT ban for illicit auction house transactions. That is all 2k support can tell me. They can't point to what exactly I even supposedly did wrong. I had to submit an appeal and have to hope they reverse the ban given I am not even sure why they did it. Given the state of this gambling simulator with an NBA skin I am not even sure I care what they decide!

Thing is, I got Wemby, PG, LeBron, an elite team with 3 million MT left to spare and for the longest time I’ve always been chasing that carrot on a stick that is the next best player to get (NMS, except for the pro pass, just an AH worker) and today I just realized: what the fuck do I want these cards for? I could go on 20 streaks in park, and for what? I’m tier 1 showdown, can get 120 wins, and for what? King of the court is in an ungodly hour for me so I can’t compete in it, but other than Salary Cap, there’s nothing worth playing for. You could spend and have the best team but you need to realize what the hell you’re using that team for? There’s no content. There’s no hill to climb. Heck, unlike gachas with weekly grinds and trial towers, there’s no reason to keep improving. It’s literally just a gambling card collector.

Idk how to say this but the entire mode is AI generated. Every card you see in the game or in new packs was in the game already on Day 1 via hidden gems. They made the game and no one is “in the office”. No one’s working on the game because it’s done and now they can sit and watch the money roll in. It’s upsetting that people who make this game don’t care about the game. The biggest issue is EA or another company can’t make a capable basketball video game so 2k has ZERO competition to actually incentivize people to play and spend money on their game and it’ll stay that way until that happens

I’ve been done with this game for years. I buy it when it’s like 9.99. With all the extra transactions and micro transactions 2k wants it should be free to play.
