Dear Tom Hall I have had, and used, your book "Introduction to Turk'shead knots" for some years. It has been immensely useful and entlightening. I study historical textile braids and have found many textile Turk's head knots in that connection. I wanted to tell you that I found a variation on the Hansen knot on a 17th century seal bag in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London..
