I first designed this ant based on my preference for lightly sunken ants ,then on the thoughts that the bigger the quantity during a hatch, the more the fish responds to stimulating visual codes , like the brilliance of a luminous flash, the movement of the wings, a body caught in the water surface, a colored hot spot...etc...
So I wanted to bring together all these attractive elements in this pattern and I noticed, although I had in my box a multitude of ants patterns of all kinds, colors, sizes and materials (foam, CDC, hackle etc... ), the one is more regularly taken by the fish, if only by its very low flotation with the abdomen slightly sunk..if the size matches of course (a smaller size also works). ..); but also the fluorescent red color seems to work, even in the presence of black ants... In addition, this incentive pattern works very well, during the warm days, even without the presence of ants...
Despite the very low flotation induced by the paraloop , it remains very visible, even at night when the light beige CDC wings (plus the crystal flash) contrast well with the black hackle...
A fly visible for the fish, but also by the fisher...

J'ai d'abord conçu cette fourmi sur la base de ma préférence pour les fourmis légèrement coulées et aussi en partant du postulat que plus la quantité est importante lors d'une retombée ( même constat avec les moucherons), plus le poisson répond à des codes visuels incitatifs (surtout en pleine frénésie !), comme la brillance d'un flash lumineux, le mouvement des ailes, un corps pris dans la pellicule, un hot spot coloré ...etc...
J'ai donc voulu réunir tous ces éléments attractifs dans ce modèle et j'ai constaté , bien que disposant dans ma boite d'une multitude de fourmis en tout genre, couleurs, tailles et matériaux( foam ,CDC, hackle etc...), celui ci est plus régulièrement pris par le poisson, ne serait ce que par sa flottaison très basse avec l'abdomen légèrement coulé...à condition bien sur d'être cohérent avec la taille des fourmis présentes ( une taille inferieure marche aussi...); mais également la couleur rouge fluo semble fonctionner, même en présence de fourmis noires...De surcroit ce modèle incitatif fonctionne très bien, lors des beaux jours, même sans la présence de fourmis ...
Malgré la flottaison très basse induite par le montage paraloop, elle reste très visible ,même le soir où les ailes en CDC beige clair (plus le cristal flash) contraste bien avec le hackle noir...
Une mouche donc visible pour le poisson, mais aussi par le pécheur...
