you have a rotary vice ,why don't you use it? also, invest in a bobbin holder it makes tying so much easier.I don't have a Quill Gordon in my collection so I'll be tying some up thanx for the pattern. I WOULD TRIM A VERY SMALL "V" in the lower hackle fibres to allow the fly to ride flatter and lower on the surface of the water . thanx Ken

Hi.. I seldom use the rotary funktion 100%, but turn the vise a lot while tying normal. But filming with my mobilephone in front of me 10-15 cm away from the fly makes the fly out of focus if I do. I dont do V shaped hackle on classic flies😉
