Cool looking fly Martyn. I've never fished for bones, but from what I've read, many of the bonefish patterns are particularly effective on warmwater species if tied on different hooks and colors adjusted to local fodder. Either way this looks like a fun pattern to tie. Cheers for the tutorial.

Really nice fly. I don't fish at all now, you know why, but I never fished salt water. I am trying to expand my mind to it. Not sure because I don't even know the names of the fish. I lived on a lake a long time ago and caught bass, perch, sun fish. Now tying flies to save my sanity. But wife has been out of the house, hospital, rehabilitation. Don't know what to do with myself. Dan Gray it's similar in some ways but actually quite different from a bonefish eye view
