Thank you. I don't really believe in good flys for this river or that to be fair. I'd say the gledswood is a good proven fly for Atlantic salmon though. I've actually challenged my fishing buddy next season, I'm fishing the gledswood in various sizes or weighted tubes on the tyne and tributaries next year all season. And he's fishing whatever he likes, just to see if there's much difference in results. Bit of fun!

@@chriswright2135 cheers, but still we wouldn't really see the difference its to many variables. I fished this season on tyne and used allsorts but didn't land a fish, mind I hooked a few. Had good results on the coquet this year with varied flies. Yes I sell a few here and there to re stock materials.

ryan000thompson ive always spun for Salmon up until this year ,then the beat i travel to on the Tyne became fly only so ive had to buy all the gear and to be honest i now love it , managed 1 salmon and 1 seatrout up there , i fish my local Yorkshire esk with spinner and do very well, but love coming up to the tyne , i would definitely be interested in a selection of your flys if possible 👍
