Subscribed, nice format, good video, nice lighting, nice sound, nice camera angles! Yankton for sharing I I'm just getting back into fly fishing for Smallmouth Bass after an 11 year break caring for failing parents. Looks like flying for Bass has gone mainstream! Awesome, back in the day it was all new and not a lot of information as around. Now u Tube makes everything easier, used to be just DVDs. Thanks again!

I felt that when you cut the wire with your razor scissors. I'm sure they're a dime a dozen for you at the shop! I love your patterns and videos. I'm tying this one right now, but no glue eyes so I'm going to use barbell eyes. Hope you all are well!

Ha! I'm persnickety with my scissors, too! I have several kinds of scissors and each one is for a particular use. 🙂

I know what you mean about longer flash sometimes bothering you! Something about how it settles, and how the materials swim after it hits water for the first time causes that extra amount to stick out too much, even when it's perfect sitting dry in the vice. Glad I'm not the only one grooming the occasional streamer on the river.

My wheelhouse!! Love huckin streamers. Nothing like a fish smashing a streamer on the chase. Well ok...maybe sipping dries. Grew up with traditionals for large cutties. Thanks. Lookin forward to this. I thought Dragon Tales was a kids type thing🌈

What was that new series fly and its little brother? Did it ever make it to production? Looks a little like the fat head kitty or the silk kitty. ???

I like to use one of those wooden spring loaded clothespins to pinch eyes. no more fingerprints! a little beeswax keeps them stick-proof.

Recently had a really fun day with this fly in olive and white. Kokanee, a big fat brookie, tons of lakers and even a white sucker on this fly - but I caught the sucker in his butt hole so I guess that doesn't really count.

Kelly is obviously an extremely knowledgeable and creative fly designer and fly fisherman. However, some of his fly names are silly, the work of a junior high school kid who can't get over how naughty sex is.

Might be the wrong channel for you Frank.
@franksabatino75763 жыл бұрын
@@TheSlideinn But your content is very useful! I bought 2 of your DVDs, tied some streamers based on your patterns, and caught one of my biggest brown trout with a strip-jerk retrieve. There won't be any more comments on your fly names.

Yes he say it but I see he is addicted to licking his fly material. There are all kind of shits on those feathers dye, chemical, ppl touching it etc, n he is licking it OMG.

Hello.. I enjoy watching your videos. They are very informative.. I only have one gripe... THEY ARE TO LONG.... talk less and tie more.. thank you
@aricheath36704 жыл бұрын
If you want to make a video half as long, watch it on double the speed. ;) As an added bonus, Kelly sounds like he's on meth only he makes sense.

You must be new to Kelly’s videos. ;)

You can just skip through the steps if you don't have the time. However, you should watch his full videos (at least if it's a brand new pattern for you, or if you want to get the most out of them) because he provides a lot of great information and subtle tips that will improve your tying immensely, even if you are an advanced tyer.
