I make silver jewelry with my dad and I am working on tying this knot out of some silver wire. finding a balance of thickness and flexibility is proving to be somewhat of a challenge. I have to heat up the wire and tie it as fast as possible while it remains flexible, but without burning my hands. THanks for the video it helps a lot...

Those who are struggling, it is probably because you can't really just tug the ends to tighten it up once you're done. It will tend to tighten in places and go loose in others. You have to kind of tighten by sections to get the right shape. I just did itty bitty ones to tie round homemade candles. Very nice!

The reason Your strings aren't becoming Celtic hearts is most likely String placement, not the type of string. Make sure your string looks exactly like it does at 1:15. Notice which string stays to the right side. Because it sometimes swaps the string in the heart backwards, which gives you just a knot.

Took two tries with a 16" x 3/8" rope to get right. Helps to stop video in places to compare and go slow. At the end you have to stop the video and compare what you have made to the knot on the screen, take your time and study it. A little loosening and tightening are needed to shape the knot and you should have it. If anyone thinks this knot is hard, try fishing knots with 4lb mono.

Thanks so much for sharing your skills!
