Well Mark Anthony didn’t get his first record out until 1991 and Tyka had released this album in 1988. So I don’t think the song was about him. He was a songwriter for Latin music back then.

Prince never talked or mentioned her. Rumor has it she was once a drug addict. Prince helped her multiple times and she couldn't get it together

Prince did talk abt her, they were close and yes, she had drug problems at one point. Every member of Princes inner circle have cited her and the close relationship they had.
