The money machine will push her on tour but she is listening to her body and believes in her long term vision . Many a star has got burned out being pushed into tours when not got the capacity . She knows she is going to around a long time , not desperate. It’s admirable for such a young women to say no to the machine as listen to her doctor . She is not a machine . I’m impressed , this is a wise young women .

@jonathanchrislaminkamara 8 ай бұрын
@AngelDrewThomas That album is not trash. Please listen carefully to her interview in this same video. Not all songs as to be like " water". Some songs are meant for you to sit down and listen to what the artist is saying while some songs are up beat and trending. She is not only a tiktok artist trying to always make you shake , she also has her spotify and other streaming platforms fans too. Tiktok is just meant to expose artist just like in the case of her hit " water". Her album is fine. That is her true self. If you don't like it then you are not a real fan, you are just a fake fan who comes from tiktok and actually doesn't know what good music is. Maybe you think if a song is not a tiktok type song then is not good. You guys should stop pressuring this young artists. That is why they are all just lost trying to satisfy you.

@user-vj6pw9my8x okay sweaty you’re still trippin out. Comparing her to rihanna is what makes you think she lacks anything. Its clearly your bias speaking thru your whole comment. Black Americans were the ones trying to claim Tyla as Black, she always said she is colored because that is how they refer to mixed race ppl in South Africa. You clearly take ts too seriously. Keep waiting around for rihannas next album no one’s begging you to love Tyla, get over yourself.

I feel like she was feeling the pressure about the cancelled tour, the expectations for her debut album, winning a Grammy, and, keeping the momentum and it shows in this interview. I wish they could've kept it lighter and more fun for her because it just felt so off the entire time. It’s afrobeats let’s not lie & it’s the version of amapiano asake does. Hear it once from Nigerians give them their credit & use it. Their afrobeats is literally rooted in on of their tribes Yoruba Fuji & street music. Tyla is inspired by afrobeats

@@llsss777 it’s not afrobeats, Tyla is South African and does amapiano and she’s said it herself many times(she infused amapiano with western pop sounds to get “popiano” as she calls I her subsect of amapiano…Nigerians trying so hard to claim a woman who’s proudly South African and reaps SA with her sound, accent, dance&’ mannerisms…it’s getting weird. South African musicians don’t ever do Afrobeats, just not into it as we have own sounds and urban culture that’s influencing the world. west Africans do…but now Nigerian artists now have started doing amapiano, they must thank SAn Black & Coloured youth for giving them another sound to latch off which the world loves

Its still afo-beats. This music is birthed out of the African Nation, from the African continent. Its just a version of Afro Beats. That's like a Trini getting mad that you called Soca music, Calypso. Its still Caribbean music from the islands that has been used and manipulated to serve different surrounding countries.

@@DajiaStar this isn’t a mere version of Afrobeats…you’re being mad disrespectful to amapiano. Africa isn’t a country or 1 nation so we have our individual cultures and styles…west Africa and Southern Africa are thousands of miles apart in culture and in music styles. we Tyla is South African and she does what South Africans have pioneered and gifted the world, amapiano. West Africans do Afrobeat

@@justiniyke4470Yup people blame rca but tinashe refused to go along with what they were giving her. I understand she wanted more of a hand in the creative direction but even artists like Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Rihanna were ALL told what to do at the beginning and once they were more established they were given more freedom to do what they wanted to. Beyonce was forced to do a bunch of mainstream things until after self titled and she started doing what she wanted. Rihanna was being told what to do her first 2 albums but she had hits for each album to get enough recognition and then started to make more charge during good girl gone bad and being more of herself. Tinashe should’ve let them get her established first and then once she had built more of an audience she could’ve gotten more creative as time went on and taken more control during then and people would’ve supported her more cause she was already established mainstream. I say this as someone who likes tinashe

Listening to this interview she sounds so much older than what she is she is very savvy it was such a wholesome interview she really awnsered all the interviewers questions intelligently and precisely i have a lot more repsect for her after this interview and i believe she is a real artist with compassion who is here for the long stay, and a young Rhianna is what i think the industry is trying to make out of her however I dont think she will be another Rhianna maybe some of her qualities n goals but not with the same backbone and aura but i wish her the best 😊

Would have loved for the interviewer to have asked more in-depth questions about the album itself. Doesn't seem like she was able to thoroughly listen snd craft questions about Tyla's process and mindset for any specific song? In any event Tyla seems like a serious artist with staying power. KEEP GOING African starlet!
