Yea, when you play with three WRs as a base set you need an extra WR or two. Chig being a tweener TE/Slot could take a spot away and we will still need 3 TEs. But no way do I dump Burks when he is needed for depth and certainly has some upside. The hate he gets for not being AJ is ridiculous.

I wouldn't trade Burks. He wouldn't be starting and he would get spot duty. Id still keep him for depth purposes and to see how he looks in a new offense. He definitely wouldn't start, because he hasn't earned the right to start of 3 guys currently at that position.

It makes zero sense to trade him for a late pick so I'm not sure why people keep bringing it up. Unless he tells one of the coaches to F-off or something why not keep him?

As for Kenneth Murray, I don't have any major expectations but last season with the Chargers, most of the defense looked bad , aside from Bosa and Khalil Mack and Brandon Staley as a coach was a main culprit . We drafted a LBs in the 4th round Gray for a possible starting role so it's not as if we are tied up to Murray to be a key member for a Super Bowl run. If Denard Wilson can get something out of him, good...otherwise, we can get out of his contract next offseason without much of a cap hit...

Another reason why Lewan would not come back he has said many times he cannot play right tackle it's too different for him.

We'll see how Levis reacts in terms of being patient in the pocket and hit on those short and intermediate routes, for which where he needs the most improvement. Having 3 veterans receivers will help immensely Levis, although I would have preferred he develop chemistry with a Nabors or Adunze long term. I think offensively aside from RG/RT, this team is ready for training camp. I really like the price and minimal cap hit since part of the 4.5 millions is incentives. At this point I expect them to keep 7 WRs, because most likely one of them will be on KR/PR in combination of a RB. No point to try and trade Burks (unless getting a decent offer), Westbrook ikine or Phillips since we will need the depth (we have seen in the past how the injury bug can change plans quickly). 2 more signings (Satety, RT and/or Edge) and we are good to go Go Titans, we are ready to shock the world, regardless of what a lof of naysayers are saying!

Since when is Levis not patient in the pocket? The guy stands tall and delivers the ball even when getting bashed because of the poor OL last year. He rarely if ever freaks out and takes off without reason.

@@gusjoe1381 obviously Levis needs to mature in reading defenses, but I still don't see where the big problem is. He made on deep throw to NWI when he had someone open for a first down. So what? He consistently found open WRs and RBs despite his WRs not being great at getting open besides Hopkins and the pass rush forcing him to make quick decisions. He made absolutely ridiculous passes like the one to Spears, others to Hopkins. IMO 90% of his problems were blocking or guys not getting open besides DHop. Dan Marino would have had problems with the personnel executing the offense.

@@gusjoe1381 Burks has had issues staying healthy. He might actually be a great guy who can give us spot play and depth. The upside is there. The new offense might be real good for him. Either way the deep hate for the guy is ridiculous.

Obviously, they are loading up to make a run. And why not? People make Ran look like a genius, and he has made some nice moves, but he has the money to work with so might as well use it. Floyd Reese did the same thing after McNair left and built the 2008 team with FAs and the draft. If only VY had worked out as a long-term answer.

Boyd at his price is the obvious choice. Now Boyd is on the downside and not as explosive. But he is crafty, finds holes in the zone and makes contested catches. Not sure why this "push Burks out" when we need depth. Boyd is a slot only player. Very little work on the outside. Now I actually like NWI and he gets more crap than necessary. But if we are going to play a bunch of three WR sets we need more than just the three starters. Now giving up Burks for a 6th round pick IMO is absolutely moronic. Obviously almost anyone with a pulse can be traded for a 6th round pick to a team with that position need. But why Burks who has had stud plays. Now IMO this is as much about motivating Burks to get his act together. and I said this before, Burks is NOT a slot guy in the NFL.

There is no point to tied up to long term contracts with younger unproven talent. Kyle Phillips and Burks are enough and thank God they are still on rookie deals. Hopkins and Boyd are off the books after this season and we can extend them if needed. Riddley is the only one tied up for a least 2 seasons and we can retructure/release if needed. I'm very on board with this crew with not too much of a cap burden short and long term.

How is QB a huge question mark? It isn't like we used the first pick of the draft on a midget QB and Carolina should be more worried than the Titans. The Levis hate is darn right ignorant. He had a great rookie season compared to the vast number of guys who came into the league and even those who became great. Look it up and see how many of the absolute best QBs faired their rookie year.
