@Chastin Siegel Interviewers often give the questions in advance on request. You can see him looking down at notes. Saying I don't speak for Matt is an easy way to get around answering a question. That being said, I hope that they work on the producers/editing etc as I think a lot of the decisions they made contributed to what has happened the past seasons. And through the process of carrying that weight sacrificed his own happiness!! Or was he truly in love with Rachel in the first place? I don't understand why Matt is so much bitter and angry towards Rachel as if she went out of her way to hurt him personally. The fact that she could be so in love with a black man, isn't that proof enough that she isn't a racist? Rachel has a dark past, we understand that. But she has apologized a couple of times in a way that's so heartbreaking. Her apology alone should've melted Matt's heart if he truly cared. He seems to be trying to impress some people out there who find it very hard to accept Rachel's apology for reasons best known to them. I think that what would help Rachel's emotions heal is the understanding that the Matt she felt in love with doesn't exist. She felt in love with someone she thought he was. But he never was that person.

In the beginning when the news came out about Rachel’s past, he refused to believe all the negative news on her. Something must have been too much for Matt to over look, plus this is all playing out on the world’s stage during a time when racism is high in several public cases. Matt has his image to protect along with his family and the black community. I’m glad he called things off because this show doesn’t always work out for everyone.
